All Bilbao Tours & Excursions in 2026

This private tour was everything it was advertised to be. Zack picked us up right at our hotel in a beautiful luxury sedan and drove us from Bilbao to a morning walking Tour of San Sebastian. We saw the beaches, the kayak surfers, the bay, the marina, the fresh market. All before it became too crowded. Then we set out for the fishing town of Getaria for some walking and touring before he brought us to a waterside outdoor restaurant for grilled fish, which we simply loved!! You can practically watch the chef cook your fish at the outdoor grill situated just at the front of the restaurant. After lunch we were brought to a geological park along the Atlantic coast that shows rock formations that are millions of years old. This region was featured in the last season of the Game of Thrones saga. In summary, this was a private tour and was exactly what we wanted. No large groups with a guide wearing a headset and you listening to their distorted voice coming thru cheap earbuds; the flexibility to stop for a restroom whenever we needed it; the luxury to have a wonderful and relaxing outdoor lunch and to be able to text Zack whenever we were ready to be picked up; and to have his ear when we had questions, not having to share him with many other tourists and not having to fear monopolizing his time when others also want some attention. We walked, we ate, we drank and we learned all about the beautiful city of Bilbao. A terrific tour led by Josu, who provided interesting insights and tidbits to complement a gastronomic feast. His knowledge of local wine left no question unanswered. Highly recommend this tour!

This was such a wonderful tour. We had never done a tour excursion before and this was our first time in Bilbao. It was so worth it. Wallace was an incredible and very knowledgeable guide and Josu was an excellent tour bus driver. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour and this guide. This was an amazing tour that started with an exploration of the exterior of the museum and then continued inside to all of the permanent exhibits and a few of the temporary ones. We were given wristbands so that we could continue to explore on our own. Javier was an incredible guide and teacher. He gave wonderful insights about the pieces, the building, and the artists. The entire tour gave us a greater appreciation of the museum, its architect, and its exhibits.

We had the best time. Super well organized, our guide Arrate was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly and lovely, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable on the day. The tour covers three great winery stops, each with something different to offer. We were so happy we extended our stay to be able to do this tour. Arrate told us so much about wines and the region, we are already using that information to purchase Rioja bottles now!

The best food tour we’ve ever been on! As we visited in early March during the off-season, we were lucky enough to end up on an unplanned private pintxos tour. Kara was an incredible guide - so knowledgeable not only about the food and drinks we were trying, but also about the Basque Country, its rich history, culture, and language. She thoughtfully took our dietary preferences into account when ordering the pintxos, choosing dishes that suited both of us perfectly while still encouraging us to try exciting new things. Every stop felt carefully chosen, and the experience felt incredibly personal. We learned so much throughout the tour, from the traditions behind pintxos to the stories of the old town and the Basque culture. It truly was such a special and personalised experience. It was a pleasure to meet Kara, and we’re so grateful for such a wonderful evening that we’ll never forget. This tour genuinely made our holiday!

We walked around Casco Viejo and saw all the great sights. But the best part was learning about Basque history and culture. I read a lot on Basque and Spanish history in advance, so was able to bring all my questions to Asier. He shared so much context and perspective. It made the rest of my time in the Basque Country that much better. I highly recommend it!

Excellent experience, highly reccommend. Our guide Edwardo was very informative and the tours and tastings at the two wineries were very in depth. Depending upon the wineries visited there may be steep and uneven steps down into a very old cave. Late lunch was welcome and a delicious sampling of regional dishes.
