This Altun Ha, Cave Tubing and Zip-lining tour will depart from Belize City air-conditioned to the Old Northern Highway for 50 minutes. Altun Ha is the nearest excavated Maya Temple to Belize City and is probably the most visited by Belizean school children from all over the country. This beautiful Maya Temple, whose name means “Rockstone Water,” has wide-open spaces. The temples are easily climbed and are not as tall as Lamanai and Xunantunich. After trekking an ancient home of the Maya, you’ll head west for 90 minutes on the Western Highway, for Cave Tubing & Zipline. Once at the outpost, you’ll be given a basic orientation and safety briefing before heading off on a 30-minute hike, which includes wading through a few knee-deep water streams. Don’t let the walk worry you, though; as it’s mostly on flat terrain, it is enjoyable and informative. The BEST cave tubing experience and guides!!!

We had the best time on this cave tubing experience. Tubing through the caves and after under the trees was awesome, but even better were the guides who provided a lot of interesting information and most importantly went above and beyond to help our group. My mom was having a tough time making the walk to the starting point for the cave tubing and one of the guides took her in a kayak to meet us at the starting point so she didn't have to cross three small rivers lined with small rocks. Thanks guys. YOU ROCK!!!

Amazing day!!!

Altun Ha Mayan Temples and Cave Tubing Paradise with lunch was an amazing experience. Our guide, Luis, was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. He shared insights on everything from economics and history to geography and local lifestyle — you just had to ask. We kicked off the tour at Altun Ha Mayan Temple, a site rich with history and meaning. After that, Luis took us to a secluded, hidden-gem restaurant run by a lovely woman with a warm smile and great energy. The food was delicious. Next, we headed to the cave tubing spot for another highlight: floating through a pitch-black section of the cave, then drifting down a beautiful lazy river while birds chirped around us. Amazing day from start to finish. Luis was the #1 host. Highly recommend!

Wonderful adventure!

What an amazing experience!! All the way from the on-site crew to the tour guides. The gentleman checking everyone was very friendly and really helpful finding the correct sizes and fits for everyone’s snorkel gear. The tour guides were friendly/funny/and very knowledgeable about their job and the marine life. I had an issue with my snorkel and kept getting sea water in my mouth; I let the guide know and he was able to provide me with a different mask/snokel and immediately fixed the problem! Thank goodness, as that could have ruined the whole experience! Also everytime before entering the water, they checked my mask and helped make sure it was tight enough. Small but important details. We saw so many amazing sea creatures; two manatees, huge nurse sharks, rays, sea turtles and lots of colorful fish! Feeding the tarpons and sea birds was pretty hilarious. The last stop where you get to hang with the stingrays was really neat too. I could have done without the long “layover” in caye caulker because there wasn’t really much to do aside from Drinking at the lizard bar, and I don’t drink. Fresh fruits, water and sodas aboard were a nice touch, and lunch was very good as well. 10/10 would recommend!!

Fantastic Tour!

Do yourself a favor and book this tour! Jimmy was our guide and he was exceptional - he was knowledgeable, entertaining, and overall a great guide. The tubing was a great experience and we even got to see a toucan! The tamale lunch was also fantastic. We learned that the local Belize run tour companies are facing challenges with bigger companies getting contracts with the cruise ships so please, support local and book with 5 Star, you won’t regret it!

Great day kayaking in Beliz

This was a wonderful personalized experience four our group. Our guides Cardinal snd Enru (not sure of the spelling) who drove us to and from the location and were our guides on the river were engaged and very attentive. They gave us a great history of the area and insights about the rainforest and caves. The kayaking in the caves was amazing and our guides were very sensitive to needs of each person and safety conscious in the water. They were also very cognizant of the time and ensuring we got back to the ship on time. Most other groups were strapped together in tubes which limited freedom to explore the caves. Would highly recommend.

Peter was the best guide! The cave is out of this world!

This was an amazing experience! We booked last minute the day before the tour and the host was very responsive and easy to communicate with meet up and scheduling directions. It was about an hour drive to the park and The short hike to the water was so beautiful! The cave itself is an out of this world experience, we’ve never seen anything like it! We were in the cave itself probably 35 minutes, it was way bigger than I expected! I was so happy we decided to end with the zip lines because they were exhilarating and had amazing views! Our tour guide Peter was AWESOME, he pointed at many cool things on the hike and in the cave that we would’ve completely missed without him. Highly recommend this awesome trip!

A Wonderful and Insightful Belize City Tour

We had a wonderful time on the Belize City Culture, Nature, and Rum Tasting Tour with Narcisco on November 5th. Even after many visits to Belize, this experience managed to teach us something new and offered a relaxed, informative look at the city’s history and charm. Narcisco is a natural storyteller—knowledgeable, engaging, and effortless in the way he shares the soul of Belize. We explored iconic sites like the Baron Bliss Lighthouse, learned the history behind the famous Swing Bridge, and enjoyed a great photo stop at the colorful Belize Sign. A visit to St. John’s Cathedral, the oldest Anglican church in Central America, added a beautiful historical depth to the day. Along the way, Narcisco highlighted other cultural landmarks and local neighborhoods, giving us a richer understanding of Belizean life. The experience wrapped up perfectly at Traveller’s Liquors, where we enjoyed a fun and flavorful rum tasting. It was a great chance to sample Belize’s signature spirits and learn more about the country’s distilling traditions. Overall, this tour was a perfect balance of culture, history, nature, and relaxation. Worth the money and time!

This was one of the best excursions that I have ever experienced. Andy, the tour guide, was awesome. He was knowledgeable, funny, and made us feel completely safe. During the tour my Apple Watch came off when we were diving into the water in the cave. They said that they would find it for me, but I counted it as a loss. After the tour and while we were eating, one of the other workers was able to swim to the cave floor and retrieve the watch. They called Andy and the driver drove back about 15 minutes to grab it for me. The finder asked for $10 USD finders fee… the fee was de minimis, so I gladly paid it. Our lunch was stewed chicken with rice and beans. It was good!

We all really enjoyed...

We all really enjoyed cave tubing. Wasn't too sure what to expect, but so glad we did it. It's about an hour's drive from the cruise port. The walk through the rainforest and gentle trip through the caves on our tubes with helpful and knowledgeable guides was amazing and unlike anything else we experienced during our cruise. Highly recommended.
