Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this tour and this tour company - we did the private full Amsterdam experience (4-5 hours) and had a great time. Our guide was funny, knowledgeable and flexible - and took us to a number of places for unique and authentic food and drink experiences! Lots of stories and fun facts along the way - and always checked in to see if we needed anything (restroom, break etc). Highly recommend this tour - and hope you get Otto for the afternoon!

We got to try lots of...

We got to try lots of food and see several of the main sights/areas - it was a good combo of cultural/historical info and food. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to try a wide range of local foods in smaller quantities and without having to wait in line. Leo was very nice and answered all our questions. That said, if you’re comfortable researching and visiting the hot spots on your own, it would be very easy to visit all the locations we visited on your own, which would allow you to pick and choose which places you want to go to (of course then you’d have to do the research and wait in line yourself).

East of Amsterdam…

Visit of touristy highlights east of Amsterdam. I particularly enjoyed the insightful commentary from our guide, Ilya, especially on canal building and the Dutch mentality and attitude to society. Explained a lot… Pity that Marken couldn’t be done due to building works and that we only learned about that once on the bus.

Very informative tour with great snacks

Andrea was our amazing, informative, wonderful guide. She provided a very complete history of the red light district as well as of the city of Amsterdam. Pointed out key buildings and explained events that have shaped the city today. She provided a matter-of-fact descriptions of the historic and current laws regarding the red light district. Stops for pancakes, jenever, croquettes and stroopwaffles added appreciation for the area.

Great Canal tour of Amsterdam!

They helped celebrate my birthday which happened to be the day we had our tour! Guides had the whole group sing happy birthday to me. We went in the evening and had a blast! Left nice and tipsy! I recommend the cheese and drink package. It’s more of a “hang out,” drink, and talk amongst your group kind of vibe. Tour guide maybe talked about 5 or 6 times the whole hour tour. They made sure your cup was filled, had interesting factoids about the canals, and told some jokes. They were charming and did a good job curating a party. I will say it’s just about an hour tour where you ride around on a boat, not a thrilling or educational experience. More of a party and sightsee kind of adventure. Not a lot of history or Amsterdam lore, but they will try to help you have a great time and curate a fun experience.

Nice afternoon on the water

A very nice, easy way to see the city. The captain was skilled at making tricky turns. The guide/bartender did a great job of making sure everyone was accommodated. Lots of wine, beer, and soda. Little cracker boxes for the snacks. Tricky to get in and out of the boat, but they had strong guys to assist. Well run, just across the canal from train station.

Awesome introduction to all things Amsterdam!

Only hours after arriving in Amsterdam we wisely took this tour giving us a perfect introduction to this charming city on canals. We loved every minute with our guide Maddy! She was perfect for our intimate group of 4, with a wealth of knowledge as a local. Fun, friendly and in tune with our group she guided us across town with ease. We sampled a variety of small plates and drinks throughout the city. And we’re given lots of interesting facts about Amsterdam we never would have known on our own. We highly recommend touring with this company and hopefully you will be assigned to amazing Maddy!

Great experience! Not your typical "fries/waffle tour." Guide was very interesting and accommodating. Places visited provided delicious samplings from the rich history of Amsterdam/Netherlands. Great Tour, Good Food

Our tour started with apple pie, ended with Dutch croquettes, and was filled with good food and company in between. Our tour guide, Elena, was very sweet and knowledgeable. She shared a lot of history about Dutch food and some of the Jordan District in Amsterdam. She engaged everyone in the group and created situations in which we engaged with each other across the group. This was very useful to us as the canal cruise is in pretty tight quarters. I didn’t love all the food, but I didn’t dislike any of it. That’s just how Dutch food is; good but not great. But, as a tour, I’d recommend this one, especially if Elena is your guide.

Suzanne, what a legend! So much cheese

Suzanne took us through a fun 1 hour cheese and paired beverage (wine/Beer etc.) tasting. Included in the presentation was some history and cheese making insights from the Henry Willis farm. We were all amazed at the volume of cheese that was offered to us, and the wine smacked. This experience is a must do on your trip to Amsterdam. Thank you Suzanne!!!!
