Fun small group tour of Godafoss and Lake Myvatn
Our driver and guide Siggi was professional and punctual yet friendly and accommodating. He shared much interesting and helpful information as well as personal experiences. There was enough time at each amazing site around Lake Myvatn and at Godafoss. Earth Lagoon was still under remodeling when we visited but the substitute experience at the Forest Lagoon did not disappoint. We were dropped off at a nearby site of our request.

Great tour except for Midges
Comfortable coach, beautiful scenery on the way and back, love the lava formation park, hot mud/steam fissures, falls were beautiful, surprise coffee and fried cakes at the falls local hotel as part of tour, my only recommendation is for the tour company to include head netting for the annoying midges at the various sites. If not you can buy this protective covering at the first stop which is the lava formation visitors center for 8 kroner. Our tour guide Michael was terrific.

It was great to see the interior of Iceland. Didn’t have much time at any spot to really enjoy it. Tour was as advertised as 5 hours but the guide thought we had 7 hours so we had to rush. The nature baths were closed which we weren’t informed of and that was a big disappointment.

Wonderful tour and amazing sites!!
Wonderful tour with fantastic guide Michael and our driver Meeks. The lake and waterfall are absolutely beautiful but be sure to bring a bug net as there are lots of midgees. The dark forest pillars are amazing that we walked around. Such interesting geothermal sites. Be sure to eat at the restaurant in the small town, excellent tour. 5 stars!!!

  • Godafoss is a must-see attraction for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those with an interest in Icelandic history.

  • Don’t forget to wear waterproof clothing: You can get soaked by the falls’ spray

  • Wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking over uneven surfaces.

  • Access to the falls is free of charge.

  • Although you can walk close to the edge on the west bank, practice utmost caution as the rocky ledges can be extremely slippery.

  • There are several spots from where to get views of the falls, including a viewing platform and a nearby restaurant with free Wi-Fi.
