Pasta and Fun

Lisa and Fabio were amazing hosts, welcoming us into their lovely home, sharing their love of cooking and wine, as well as their expertise. This activity provided such a wonderful opportunity to experience Italy in ways that are not otherwise possible. Lisa provided very clear pasta making instructions that even the two young boys who joined our group could follow and Fabio documented the process along with the fun we had. We were served multiple tasty appetizers and were introduced to a variety of wines that all of the adults enjoyed. For dinner, we tried a red sauce and one made with chickpeas, which were especially appreciated by the vegetarians, and dessert followed. While the meal was "simple" it was very flavor full and Mina sent us home with the recipes.

Really fun and informative class lots of wine throughout the whole experience. We had a lovely meal eating our pasta, with a starter, and fruit for dessert. And of course, more wine. The ladies that taught the class helped each of us individually, so it was no fail. Will be making this once we get home!!!

The Three Town Tour

This 3-town tour is amazing. It does involve a great deal of walking, especially as a coach, such as we had, can only park away from the sites of interest. The town of Alberobello is of particular interest with its fascinating conical Trulli buildings. The local guide who was engaged for visiting the Trulli was extremely good, very clear and gave good information and not too much. The pace of that part was just right for all ages and abilities. He explained what we were going to experience. The coach courier was not so explicit and it would have helped for us to be pre-advised (preferably on the journey to the towns) as to what we should expect to see and experience when we arrived at Locorotondo and Ostuni. In each case we were led uphill in hot sunshine for an unknown (at the outset) distance, and then were given a quick summary of what we could or might see in and around the town, and when we should meet. At Ostuni there was a fleet of TukTuks roaming the town. For a few members of the coach party, an option maybe could be made available to use these. This would have been a great relief on such a hot day at what was the final place on the trip to explore

Incredible journey (through time)

Lorenzo was an amazing guide who was not only extremely knowledgeable but also humorous and considerate of the groups needs. He was patient when patience was needed and more direct when needed to help everyone get the best out of the experience. Highly recommend this tour as it shows you so much more than just wandering around. I had a great time and was blown away by what I learned.

Despite it being very...

Despite it being very stressful to find the location even using Google maps, Riccardo was a tremendous guide. He was personable, knowledgeable about the area, and a true lover of the region and the ecosystem. Someone on the trip lost a snorkeling tube near a cave; Riccardo swam out to retrieve it showing his concern, not for the equipment so much as for the potential damage to the environment. The story about the tuna that got away is for another time. He was a charming guide who made us forget about the scramble to get to the dock on time!

A memorable day discovering towns and cities in the Salento region with a friendly and extremely interesting guide

If you are in Lecce and you want to discover the local area then this trip is a must. Stefano the driver was both friendly and informative. He went out of his way to pick us up close to our accommodation and ensured that drop off and pick up points were close to local attractions. This was greatly appreciated as the temperature was in the high 30’s. The 4 towns we visited were very different and Stefano engaged us with his knowledge of the history of each and the local people. There were lots of photo opportunities and a chance to dip your toes into the soft sandy beaches. He even advised us where to eat and they did not disappoint. A truly memorable day. Thank you Stefano.

An unforgettable experience for all!

Francesca was amazing! She is obviously very experienced and knows what she is doing. She is also very patient. My friend injured herself and needed 3 stitches. Totally her own fault but Francesca and her daughter drove us to the hospital, served as interpreters and then insisted we come back and have lunch!! She and her 3 daughters spent extra time with us and made the experience a great one! I would definitely take another class with her—assuming she’s willing to take us on again!

Accommodated vegan, great pace and tour of Lecce

They accommodated me as a vegan! Antonella was a great tour guide and knowledgeable! Saw a different part of Lecce we didn’t even know about because it was not near our hotel. The pace was doable, and the food portion of the tour was awesome! They were able to accommodate me as a vegan, originally they said they could do 3/5 spots vegan, but I got something at every spot, including a Caffee leccese for a sweet spot. Worth the money!

Great Tour!

The meeting place was easy to find and we began our tour with a yummy cocktail and dessert. Andre was a great guide, friendly and knew 5 languages so was able to speak both English and French for the group we had. Loved all of the sites he took us to and the different foods we tested. Ended the tour with a glass of wine and appetizers. I highly recommend this tour - relaxing and informative and fun!
