Exceptional day
This was just an outstanding day covering the best of North Iceland in a small group. Siggi was an excellent, engaging and knowledgeable guide explaining everything from folklore to geology, considerate and helpful and an excellent safe driver to boot. I couldn't fault any of this day, best tour I've ever done anywhere. Simply magnificent 👌

Winter Wonderland
This tour gave us a great overview of several sites in the Akureyri area. And since we were visiting in January, provided a very different experience compared to summertime. Our guide provided plentiful information about local customs and legends that enhanced the tour.8

December tour
Ziggy was our guide and he was super. Shared lots of good Icelandic stories, teaching us about the area, its history and traditions. We saw all the sights within the daylight hours. Never rushed. Would definitely recommend 🤗

Incredible
My partner and I had an amazing day with Erwin. Greatly exceeded all of my expectations. We will definitely be back to this part of Iceland and will book again with Star Tours...each excursion that we went on was bucket list stuff.

Slight change of plan
I booked this tour so we could see all of the things we wanted without too many other travellers and not feeling too rushed of we had done the actual diamond circle. I was contacted by operator last minute to say dettifoss and selfoss was cancelled and we could either have part refund and do other things on the tour or full refund. I chose for us to do the tour. We had such a great time Goddfoss was stunning but cold out there. Our guide Siggy was welcoming, really friendly and knowledgeable. There were 8 in total on the tour so wasn't overwhelming or waiting for lots of people to get back. Of course I'm a little disappointed we didn't see the other 2 waterfalls but we still have an amazing day

Beautiful day
The Falls and the Hot Springs were fabulous! Our guide Nika a woman from Spain did a fabulous job also and our driver was very skilled. The chicken sandwich I did not enjoy!

Great tour
Great tour! Needed another 45 min at Godafoss Waterfall but plenty of time at the Myvatn Baths. Niko was excellent and the chicken sandwich was delicious. Fun day.

Great guide.
Nicole was a great guide, very knowledgeable and fun. Loved the Godafoss Waterfall. Myvatn Nature Baths were interesting and the only reason I gave 4 stars was because they were a little disappointing. Lots of construction around the pool so you didn’t get the feeling I expected.

Hogni the "protector" was that and more!
Hogni was an amazing guide! We learned a lot about each place we visited, and this tour had it all! We saw all of the major sites of this area and Hogni even took our group of three to see a few "extra" sites since we were not going to go in the Nature Baths.
The vehicle was very comfortable and felt very safe. Our small group tour had only 5 people and we had a lot of flexibility.
Hogni is very knowledgeable about Iceland. I would recommend this tour to anyone - it was amazing!

When to visit

Myvatn Nature Baths is a must-visit attraction for nature lovers and those who want to reap the benefits of its mineral-rich waters.
Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towel, although both (and a robe) can be rented on-site.
Geothermal water in Iceland usually contains sulphur so do not bring brass or silver jewelry into the baths as the water can turn those metals black.
Built on top of a geothermal area, the humidity can reach 100 percent. Take turns cooling off in the outdoor showers.
The bath complex has lockers for safekeeping your valuables.
There is a restaurant on-site, serving lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks.
