Wet Adventure

We had a great time!! Tony was a fountain of knowledge and kept us on track the whole way through. We saw the rocks, the waterfall, the cute little town and then we set off a big lantern into the sky - and they arranged everything. Also met some great friends along the way. Highly recommend!! But one tip - bring rain gear! It is a tropical island after all.

Great City Tour

What a great way to see the important sites of Taipei. Aaron was an amazing guide, spoke English very well, was knowledgeable, and thoughtful. His suggestions of things to do and see were great. The 5-Day Best of Taiwan is a treasure. First, it is perfectly designed to show the traveler a well balanced tour of the island with visits to Buddhist temples, shrines, lakes, national parks, beaches, and unbelievable coastal areas. Second, the selected five stars hotels (some spas in the mountains while others well located in the cities) were just perfect. Last, but most importantly, Peter (our tour guide) was outstanding. With his bright smile, perfect English, and upbeat optimism, he really was the heart of the tour. Peter has the amazing skill of describing the complexities of the history of Taiwan without bias and with the thorough knowledge of a Taiwanese person that has also lived overseas. He described the cultural identity of Taiwan from different angles. I was mesmerized listening to him. Our last day was affected by the weather and Peter had to change plans for a safe traveling and showed us instead towering cliffs and beautiful cascades. We traveled back to Taipei through the coastal highway with a majestic scenery. This was absolutely the best! Reflecting about this day, I believe that “we cannot control every storm in nature or in our lives, but we can choose where we place our attention”. Thank you Peter for doing that.

A great half day tour

Thank you to Molly for a wonderful tour! It was a pleasant drive out to Thousand Island Lake. We had lots of time to take in the beautiful views from different vantage points. From there we continued on to Pinglin where we had a lovely tasting of 3 local teas at Mr Huang’s tea shop. Then we finished at the Pinglin Tea Museum, which gives lots of interesting facts about the rituals of tea. This is a great way to spend an afternoon outside the city and especially so if you enjoy tea!
