The boat company was only ok. It was at least 40 minutes late and there wasn’t any communication about that but we were told to go to a different pier. Notifying us of delay would have been nice. The boat driver was fantastic though once we got on the water.

I had been looking for a boat tour at Lake Como for a few days now. I finally decided to try this one and I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision. As soon as I booked, Yuna reached out to me providing details about my tour. Today, for our 12pm tour, we were greeted by Pierto and immediately boarded the boat. DAVID was just amazing!!!! Our guide Marina was amazing! She was so informational, showed us the best spots and even got us some free chocolate samples! She recommended us a place to eat lunch that was not only delicious but affordable and quick for our stop in Bellagio. We really enjoyed this tour as we had a smaller group and felt the tour wasn’t jammed packed with things.

Best Part of Trip

Our boat captain Stefano was the best!! This experience truly made our trip to Italy. The boat was beautiful and in impeccable shape. The views were amazing, we saw all of the highlights. Stefano was amazing, taught us so much about the area and Italian culture. Overall, we had the best time and I highly highly recommend this experience, it will be the highlight of your trip!

Beautiful trip well worth it

It was a very well organised trip and Cristina the guide was excellent and very good ensuring you knew next steps etc. The only thing that spoilt it was we joined the coach later (connection from Lake Como). Whilst the connection was smooth, families already on the coach had decided they wanted a window seat each. More than one family had done this so we were unable to sit as a couple as loads of single seats left. I think the company should ensure for those joining later on the journey, they have these reserved and have more control over other customers taking up seat as we’ve all paid a decent price to be there! We asked the one person if they could move and sit with one of the people they were with but they refused. The only other issue was being pushed and shoved to get on Bernina express, but this is the behaviour of the young adults coming up from behind you and not the fault of the company/trip itself. I would recommend as the trip, scenery, Cristina and the excellent coach driver made it all so worthwhile.

Como Boat ride

The meeting point changed from when I booked the excursion. We had not realized an email was sent a couple of hours before letting me know the pick up spot but that information did not change on Viators reminders or app. Luckily, we got booked for another trip a couple of hours later. The boat ride was great! Beautiful villas and only 2 other people were on our boat. It felt semi private.

We loved our boat tour with Matteo! The lake was absolutely beautiful and Matteo was super friendly and knowledgeable of all the notable properties around the lake. We even made to take pictures of us at all the best points throughout our tour. Matteo was exceptional. He managed to do the tour in two languages and spoke the same amount of time in each language. He gave clear instructions on where to meet and the time to go back to the bus. He was very attentive. Luigi, the driver, has incredible driving skills. Managed to go through very narrow streets without any problem. Long day but it was worth it.

Filippo was a great captain, his English was great and his boating abilities smooth and seamless. Now for the experience: can’t miss is words that describe it. Eye popping with narration from the captain sharing folklore, facts and some fiction (explained) about celebrities, oligarchs, and generations of owners that have kept Lake Como a bit of a secret and its own perfect oasis. Our guide Andrea was a delight! She’s a very poised young lady in a male dominated job. Our family of 4 were all really impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm for Lake Como which comes from her family’s multi-generational roots there. We enjoyed hearing about her experience growing up on the lake in addition to all the famous houses, hotels, and landmarks. The chilled prosecco and cold beers capped off an incredible afternoon.
