Fun for the whole family

Shayla was the best tour guide, she made this such a fun experience for my family we saw slots, frogs, spiders, lizards and even a few birds sleeping in the trees. Shayla was knowledgeable about the eco system here and we learned so much. Did you know red eye tree frogs will attach themselves to each other to mate for up to a week?!

My sisters and I used...

My sisters and I used Tico Way for our transportation back to the airport on the last day of our trip, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Scheduling our ride was simple, and our pickup time was promptly coordinated after we made the reservation. Our driver, Sebas, arrived early (or right on time), drove safely, and was friendly and professional throughout the trip. During the two-hour drive from Playa Hermosa to SJO Airport, he asked about our vacation, shared interesting insights about Costa Rica, and even recommended places to visit the next time we return. The van was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with bottled water, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, Tico Way provided a smooth, comfortable, and reliable transfer, and I would happily use them again on a future trip to Costa Rica.

Driver takes the stress out of arrival in a new country.

Herman, our driver, was waiting for us when we left the airport lobby, holding a sign that clearly identified us as his customers. He was friendly and talkative on our trip to the hotel, giving us lots of information about his country and local life. We had made a new friend by the time we got to the hotel.

Our airport pickup in Costa Rica was amazing! The driver was on time, very friendly, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free after a long day of travel. Absolutely incredible!!! All the guides and our driver were very knowledgeable about the wildlife. The coffee plantation was extremely interesting. Our guide was friendly and took his time to explain everything. This was one of the best Viator tour experiences I’ve encountered. We saw 6 sloths, tree frogs, poisonous frogs, a yellow viper, rare birds etc …our guide was skilled at finding wildlife using her scope and helped us take pictures using the scope. I love chocolate so I can’t say more !!! Everything was excellent! Highly recommend this tour !!!

The transfer was effortless, stress free. The van was comfortable. Our driver was fantastic, and we had a great time together. He helped us with car seats from his home. There was also a wonderful stop in the middle where we could get some supplies, refresh ourselves, enjoy some sweet pineapple, and even see crocodiles.

Airport Transfer to/from El Mangroove

Very good transportation company. Our driver Daniel met us outside the airport after we secured our bags from baggage claim. He was easy to find and very helpful. We used the same company for our return home. Our flight was delayed over an hour and the driver waited at our resort as we worked through the departure delay and potential flight cancellation. Again excellent experience on the ride back to Liberia airport.

Great Service

Our driver was at the airport holding a sign with our name when we arrived so we didn't have to wait. He offered to let us stop along the route to souvenir shop and get some authentic Costa Rican food. He also pointed out some historic sites that we passed and took time to explain the history of some of the roads we traveled on. Unfortunately they were doing construction work on one of the bridges that we had to pass which made our trip extremely long, but that was out of his control and he did what he could to still make sure the trip was enjoyable. I would definitely use this service again!!!

Richard was waiting for me as I got out of baggage claim with signage with my name. He was professional, polite and got me to my destination safely. I will definitely use Fortuna Expeditions again. My only regret is that because I was unwell, I took medication that made me drowsy and forgot to tip. Nevertheles, I definitely recommend.
