Shkoder is one of the most beautiful cities in Albania. In the morning, you will visit Rozafa Castle. The castle is located on the top of the mountain and it has a stunning panoramic view of Shkoder city and the lake of Shkoder. Then, you will have the opportunity to visit the Venice Art Mask Factory, which has a collection of unique Venetian Masks. And we make a stop at the Marubi National Museum of Photography, which displays unique Albanian photographs dating back to 1850. You can also see the Mesi Bridge, which is a beautiful stone bridge build during the Turkish Ottoman empire. Enjoy some free time in the Castle area, for your exploration and privacy. Next stop, just a few minutes away, Mangalem and Gorica, Old Neighbourhoods of the city. Connected still to this day by Gorica Brigde passing from one side to another of the Osum River. You will be guided through narrow cobblestone streets, old buildings with very, very welcoming decendants from the very families living there. Totally optional to you by your choice, enjoy some local food in restaurants suggested by us or what you discover yourself. On the way back, a quick stop for icecream on a touristic village before going back to the original pickup location.

This is a flexible day trip, built around lunch at one of our favourite village restaurants! In the morning you have the option to stop at Bunk'Art 1 (tickets approx €5), and to take the Dajti Ekspres cable car up Mt Dajti (approx €8; the minivan comes up by road). If you choose, you can also climb to the peak of Mt Dajti (about 1h up, and 45 minutes down). From Dajti we'll drive on through beautiful countryside to our lunch stop, a small wooden shack owned by the lovely Dëfrim and Hilda. Nowadays most village restaurant close to Tirana have been refurbished to a gangster aesthetic, but Dëfrim and Hilda keep the place as simple as possible, and let their food do the talking. Veal is the speciality of the house - the cows are raised on Dëfrim's little farm, and cooked in the traditional saç method. If you prefer lamb, goat or chicken, no worries - just give us 48 hours advance notice.
