Exceptional day in Berat
We had a wonderful day in Berat, in large part because of our guide Ilir. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Albania, but also about art history, theology, archeology, politics, etc., that he was able to provide context for everything we were experiencing. We can’t recommend him enough! If you want the full experience, this is the guide to go with!

A Wonderful Day at Bovilla Lake and Krujë
A fantastic trip to Bovilla Lake and Krujë We really enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend it. One of the biggest advantages was arriving at the viewpoint above Bovilla Lake before the other tour groups, which meant we could enjoy the beautiful scenery and take photos without the crowds. Our guide, Gjenc, was excellent. He took some wonderful photos of us and, throughout the journey, shared many interesting facts and stories about Albania, which made the drive itself an enjoyable part of the experience. We also really enjoyed Krujë, especially the castle and the Ethnographic Museum. The local bazaar was another highlight – of all the places we visited during our trip around Albania, this was our favourite place for shopping. We would also recommend this tour because getting around Tirana and reaching these places independently is not particularly convenient. The organised tour made it easy to visit several interesting places in one day without having to worry about transport. Overall, a wonderful day and one of our favourite experiences in Albania.

Great trip & amazing staff
1. Please bring your passport, bring it because you’re going to a different country! Apparently not everyone understands that about the trip to Montenegro. 2. The trip was very well planned and paced, I loved our driver and the tour guide we had on 9/27 (you know who you are). Despite someone forgetting rule 1, they had led the situation with so much grace and I can’t imagine it was an easy situation to deal with. That’s all. I thought my list would be longer but nope, that’s all I have. I would do it again, maybe I’d plan to stay in Montenegro for a few days if I could. What a beautiful drive and beautiful place.

Great trip with Smart Albania Tours with Lola as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and great energy and fun too as she gave us the history of Albania and information on the places we visited on the tour day. Top host and great driver too on the steep and high altitude mountain roads. Excellent day, highly recommended 👌
