What a fantastic day out we had with David, Dave. He was a most informative, enthusiastic and attentive guide. Although a long day out from Tirana I would recommend this tour to Theth to experience the diversity from the city tours. Thank you David for an unforgettable day.

What a well laid out tour.
Is there a lot of time in the mini bus? Yes.
Should you do the tour anyway? Absolutely!
While the tour was obviously well planned, a huge part of what made it go so well was our guide Daniel.
Daniel was absolutely magic!
We had a group with ages from 20 to 60+ and all levels of fitness, no doubt a tough ask for most tour guides given the hiking included in this tour. Daniel was so engaging and managed to keep the entire group looked after and informed.
He has an amazing skill of seeming to know who wants and needs what when - both in terms of some extra care with the walk, or who wants what kind of info about the areas we were visiting.
He really made my day, and I’m sure others on the tour felt the same way from some conversations we had over lunch.

Would not recommend booking with Albania inbound. Cost over £60 for the trip. I met them at the place on time. They were late. Turned up & expected me to squeeze in between the guide & driver for. 4hour drive each way as a single woman on my own. Not happening. The van was so small & cramped full of people. They knew it was unacceptable as kept offering to move everyone around as it was crammed. It would have been like sitting in between 2 workmen in a van I didn’t know for a very long drive in a country I had never been to before. I explained I could not go as I wouldn’t be comfortable with the situation. They advised me to message to get a refund. Then refused a refund!! Awful company

The vehicle used for the tour was a Volkswagen Transporter minivan, which is a standard vehicle used for small-group tours throughout Europe. It is designed with 8 passenger seats plus 1 seat for the driver, offering sufficient legroom and space for travelers. The front row includes two passenger seats and one driver seat, the driver on the left, the guide seated in the middle, and your available seat on the right. This seating arrangement is commonly used and is not considered cramped.
After hearing your concerns at the meeting point, our tour guide immediately tried to accommodate you and offered the possibility to move to the back seats together with two other female travelers so you could feel more comfortable. Unfortunately, you declined this alternative as well.
We would also like to clarify that the guide did not promise a refund. You were advised to contact our office if you preferred not to join the tour so we could review possible options. As the service provided fully matched the tour description and the vehicle type normally used for this experience, a refund could not be granted. Instead, we offered a rescheduling option, which was not accepted.
We genuinely regret that the situation did not meet your personal expectations and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Nevertheless, the tour operated as advertised and the agreed service was available to you.

A beautiful outing on a perfect day! The Albanian Alps are beautiful and were such a pleasant surprise. The hike to the Blue eye was long and arduous for me but Dave was so helpful and ensured that I got both up and back safely. He showed great patience with me and he took some great photos of and for me as well. I highly recommend both our guide and this tour.

This tour was amazing. I did this in autumn time and I have to say this was truly breathtaking. Yes it's a little far and yes it's more expensive than the other tours, but this was easily the best experience I had in Albania. I would highly recommend this especially if you have a clear day the views are truly out of this world

This was an AMAZING tour! Our guide, Daniel, was the BEST! He was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information! It included a hike to the Blue Eye and, sadly, I did not have the stamina to make it all the way there. Daniel sent me pictures of it and they will be going on my wall! The drive to the trail head and the village of Theth were phenomenal! The absolute beauty took my breath away and completely stole my heart! I would very highly recommend this tour! This was a fantastic day trip from Tirana. Our guide, Mentor, was terrific, providing insightful background about the country and the sites we were seeing. He stopped along the journey for scenic lookouts, guided us on the hike to the beautiful Blue Eye waterfall, and took us to historic places in the area. Plus he navigated the mountain roads like a champ. You can cover a lot of ground on this excursion and literally immerse yourself in the northern part of the country (including a dip in the water at the Blue Eye). I highly recommend it!

The view was fantastic. You will feel all the early wake up and tired hiking worth it when you reach the Blue Eye.
Our tour guide, Henri was very helpful. One of group lost his purse and passport. Fortunately, he helped him get it back!

Great day tour, my guide was Nolan who ensured the day was comfortable, we hiked to great spots to see the Blue eye pools, and also he helped me take a million photos as I was traveling solo. got lots of good information about Albania and Theth (he answered all my questions with information about the areas). Would recommend a visit here as it was beautiful to be hiking in the Albanian Alps! Hike is a moderate grade 3 hike, so with reasonable fitness levels should be done easily! :)

Henri was an amazing tour guide, he was very interactive & showed us around great! He also made us feel really safe as the roads there aren’t the greatest. Would recommend booking this excursion. Definitely worth seeing theth in Albania!!

Pick ups were smooth - I was well communicated with via whatsapp leading up to collection. Prepare for a long day (14hrs total). After 1.5hr a short stop. Opportunities to stop for photos at viewpoints as you go through the Alps. The hike was great - there is a 15min uphill section, and it is on loose rocks which can be slippery. The Blue Eye was stunning, for sure go up over the suspension bridge. Lunch after the walk at the restaurant was fine, there was plenty of food. The visit to Theti was short and just looking at the church and the reconciliation tower.

Landscapes were out of this world in October. Rain and clouds didn’t break our trip, but I can imagine we would not enjoy it that much if we had heavy rain as the hike is rocky and steep (no complain, worth it!) Our driver Noli was a very good driver and fun to hang out with during the day. The lunch was very good. We had vegetable omelette, chicken and veal meat, vegetable salad, chips, olives with yogurt and bread. All delicious. We felt a bit rushed during the hike, but we understood it was to squeeze all that is planned into our itinerary. The church of Teth is just a short photo stop, we thought there is more to see, bit our bad. Overall, a great day!!

This was an incredible tour. We had a little bit of a rocky start time due to unforeseen circumstances, but this was insignificant by the end of the day. Our tour guide Henri was the most thoughtful, attentive and knowledgeable guide I have ever had. He got to know everyone on the bus and was constantly checking in to see that we were all comfortable. We learnt so much about Albanian history and culture, whilst taking in truly breathtaking landscapes. We enjoyed the scenic stop off points and most of all, the hike up the mountains and the clear blue waters. The blue eye is as beautiful as the pictures. Henri then took us around Theth village which was a picturesque and interesting site.
It was great to be able to fit some of Albania’s hidden gems into one day. Thank you Henri for such a great experience.

This was such a nice tour. It's a really long day but you get to spend a day in the Albanian Alps and hike to the blue eye which is so special. We also visited the Theth village and had a nice lunch. I really enjoyed the trip and could see how much the effort the team put into showing everyone a good time. Highly recommended.

Henri was an awesome guide, and this tour was fabulous! You should be ready for a loooooong day. You won’t be able to fit anything else in, for sure. That said. I absolutely loved the hike, loved the swimming, loved the lunch and amazing views. I think it could do without the stop in Theth to be honest. It’s a very long day as it is. But I definitely recommend!

It was the worst day trip ever. Do not book a trip with Albanian travel and tours agency. They are amateurs and I wasted 2 days with and I only received part refund.
The first day to Albanian Alps and theth started late. The driver arrived after one hour late, the first part of the itinerary was skipped because of late start. Then car broke down and it took it a while to be fixed. Then the hike took a hour and a half and when we arrived to blue eye we were pushed to go to the restaurant and eat so we had only 10 minutes to swim and enjoy the water. When we went to the restaurant, the food was on the table for over an hour. It was cold and a million flies on the food. The pieces of meat were like the leftover that you give your dog. When we asked for a fresh and better food we were shouted at, and when we insisted they took it anway and within 5 minutes they put it on a new dishes and presented to us again. They didn’t care when we refused it and we were denied having water. That day we reached home at 2300, late, hungry and extremely disappointed. Don’t do our mistake and book your trip with the Albanian travel and tour company.
The other day was supposed to be to Bovilla and kruja with the same travel agency and they promised us that we will be compensated but before a arrival to Bovilla the car (another car) broke down again and this time they were unable to fix. So we asked to be taken back to our hotel instead of waiting for hours for another company car to continue with the trip . Despite not achieving half way we were only offered 10% refund.
I wasted 2 day of my holiday because i booked it with Albanian travel company. So think twice before booking with them.
They have very old cars which are uncomfortable, they don’t follow their itinerary and they are unprofessional when it comes to refund.

Our guide, Ana, arrived 20 minutes late due to an unexpected delay in pick-up not caused by us. The skipped part of the itinerary was merely a coffee break, which could have been accommodated if requested. Although it was just a coffee break, we apologize on behalf of the guide, who had to make the difficult decision to stay on schedule.
The hike to the Blue Eye typically lasts 45 minutes, not 1.5 hours. In your case, it may have taken longer due to multiple breaks, which we were happy to accommodate, even though the other traveler in the group was not tired. The guide allowed the other traveler to go ahead and stayed with you. Regarding the restaurant situation, the food was prepared for the scheduled arrival time. Because we arrived late, the food was cold. We immediately asked the waiters to replace it, but they did not. Please understand that the restaurant is not part of our business. Additionally, the issue with the waiter arose because of the way you requested the plates to be changed, which lacked kindness. We apologize for the waiter’s reaction.
Unfortunately, the car broke down again the next day, which was entirely unexpected and unfortunate for both you and us. This has never happened before, as we regularly service our cars to ensure they meet standards. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience. When the car broke down, we immediately sent another guide with a replacement car, which arrived 30 minutes later. Despite this, you decided not to continue the tour, although everything was planned and ready. The stay in Bovilla is scheduled for 1.5 hours, and the replacement car arrived well within that time.
We never want our travelers to feel taken advantage of or leave the country with a bad experience. This is why we offered you a partial refund of around 40% of the total payment for the program. We processed the refund and extended our apologies.
In summary, we are deeply sorry that we did not deliver the tours as promised. We strive to create unforgettable experiences for our travelers and will make additional preparations to ensure this does not happen again.
The guides and customer service team have been very supportive of you, and we also refunded 40% of the program cost. Receiving 3 negative comments for 1 program was disheartening. However, we hope you enjoyed the rest of your vacation in Albania and wish you and your family the best of luck.

Going up to the blue eye was a little rough due to heat, but once you get there it's all worth it. The tour guide is really friendly and flexible.
