Walk through centuries of history in one of Poland's most underrated cities. This self guided audio tour covers 20 stops across 4.5 kilometres, from medieval fortress tunnels beneath the railway station to the award winning Philharmonic that rose from wartime ruins. Follow the trail of the Griffin dynasty, the dukes who ruled Pomerania for centuries until a scorned noblewoman's curse sealed their fate. Stand where Catherine the Great was born, explore Poland's second tallest church tower, and discover how a ginger tomcat became one of the city's most beloved folk heroes. Along the way, hear how herring built and broke the city's fortune, how a banking family collapsed after lending to kings, and how workers fought for freedom at the birthplace of Poland's Solidarity movement. Over 23,000 travelers have used our self guided tours. The tour comes with a full refund guarantee. Available in 9 languages with offline GPS navigation, explore at your own pace any time of day.
