Y Ty is located at an altitude of over 2,000 m above sea level, leaning against the Nhiu Co San mountain range. Therefore, the climate here is cool all year round, and in winter it can snow. Y Ty has about 4,000 people living in 15 villages with 4 ethnic groups: Mong, Ha Nhi, Dao and Kinh. Especially the black Ha Nhi community, one of the smallest ethnic groups in Vietnam, lives here. The typical walled house architecture of the Ha Nhi people is a rectangular house with mud walls and a pyramid-shaped pointed roof. The cultural identity as well as the cuisine here are extremely diverse and unique.
