Highly recommended excursion begins in the morning with a visit to the oldfishing village of Taqah, houses.
Explore the century-old Taqah Castle, once the official residence of the Wali (Governor), and enjoy a panoramic view while gaining insight into the rich history of the region.
We then continue to the ancient ruins of Sumharam (Khor Rori), a UNESCO World Mediterranean, the Persian Gulf and India.
Next, we arrive at the breathtaking Mughsail Beach,At high tide, waves crash dramatically through the natural blowholes, shooting water up to 30 meters into the air at the far end of the rocky beach.
From here, we follow the coastal road towards Oman’s western border, flanked by sheer cliffs and valleys where the frankincense
trees grow naturally.
A short walk into the valleys allows us to experience the scent of the
holy incense in its original setting.
On the return journey, we pause for a photo stop at Mughsail Lagoon, a tranquil spot where migratory birds, including flamingos.
