Combine two great experiences into one with this convenient small-group tour of the Manuel Antonio area. Begin the trip by visiting a cacao plantation to learn about the process of making chocolate, as well as its place in Costa Rica’s culture. Once night falls, it’s time for a walking tour in the jungle to try and spot various wildlife, such as tree frogs, snakes, and other nocturnal creatures.

Ideal for first-time visitors, travelers who unfortunately will not be able to find an entry ticket to visit the National Park (ONLY 1,500 available tickets per day), or those with limited time arriving at Manuel Antonio in the late afternoons (Manuel Antonio National Park closes entry at 2:30 p.m.) We invite you to learn and collaborate with the local wildlife and conservation that lives in the surrounding green areas of Manuel Antonio and Quepos communities (Urban Wildlife Hotspots) As locals and experienced certified tour guides, we have organically gained a clear understanding and knowledge on where and at what specific times animals habitually eat, sleep, bask, socialize, and even mate. After picking you up or meeting you at Hacienda Baru, it’s when our experience will start. We will walk for 2 hours or so through the rainforest looking for the amazing wildlife there, sloths, monkeys, peccaries, and birds among others. Trails are flat and shady and it’s also way less crowded than Manuel Antonio Park. After the walk, we will get into our cars and drive to Nauyacas waterfall, after paying our entrance fee they’re going to take us in their 4x4 vehicle for 30 minutes drop us off for 2 hours, and pick us up at the same point they drop us off. 30 minutes driving back to our cars, afterward, if customers are hungry we will go to a restaurant where the seafood is amazing, they have all kinds of local food with local ingredients. After lunch, we go back to our hotels, after a great day and great experience we have to say good bye or see you soon because we hope this can be the first time of many more, muchas gracias and pura vida.

After having picked you up, our first stop will be to freshen up and fill ourselves with adrenaline by jumping into the Portalon pools, a beautiful place surrounded by a lot of nature, where you will have the option of jumping 8 feet high (after following the instructions of your guide), later we will go to the beautiful Playa Linda located in Matapalo, where you will have a few minutes to relax and take some photos, continuing to the surf town Dominical, an artisan town where you can take a walk along the boulevard and buy some souvenirs. Then, we will start the adventure in 4x4 way up in the middle of the mountain until we reach the beautiful Nauyaca Waterfall, enjoying the incredible panoramic view on the road and of incredible vegetation through a path with minimal walking to get to swim. We will enjoy a delicious snack of fresh fruits and cookies. After that magical adventure lived during the day, we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch with the Pura Vida style.
