Had an amazing tour with our guide. We where the only ones on such tour and our tour guide (Sorry Jimmy) forgot his name, was very interesting to chat with along the way lots of information regarding the quiet little town. Definitely would recommend

Day trip to Tuito
This turned out to be a private tour as it was just my wife and I. We had 2 tour guides, 1 in training. We took a local bus there and back which was fine. While in Tuito, we stopped at a good restaurant for lunch.

This experience is tops!
A good look at a “typical” small town plus travel along the mountains in a non-tourist fashion. Great look of life beyond touristy spots. Guide was very knowledgeable about virtually everything as I, a former journalist, questioned him nonstop during the bus rides. Highly recommend.

El Tuito
  • El Tuito is a must-visit for travelers who want to experience small-town Mexican life.

  • Most vendors in El Tuito speak Spanish, so learn some basic phrases.

  • Be sure to sample raicilla—a regional agave spirit—and panela cheese in El Tuito.

  • Wear layers for a visit to mountainous El Tuito as it’s cooler than Puerto Vallarta.

  • El Tuito may not be fully wheelchair or stroller accessible due to uneven and unpaved sidewalks.
