Top Poprad How to Get Around in 2026

Tired of tours where the most exciting part is the bus air conditioning? Our East Slovakia Whisky & Spirit Distillery Tour is a delicious escape from the ordinary! What makes it truly unique is the perfect (and slightly absurd) blend of raw mountain majesty and refined liquid craftsmanship. We start by leaving the majestic High Tatras behind, trading breathtaking rock formations for a day of equally impressive bottle formations. First, we visit Karloff, the home of Tatratea—a Slovak liquid legend that's basically a herbal hug in a bottle. You'll learn the folklore and feel the magic. Then, for lunch, we don't go to a boring cafe. We refuel at Salaš u Franka, a rustic shepherd’s hut that serves food designed to be a culinary reset button. The grand finale is Nestville Park, a genuine Slovak whisky wonderland. This isn’t a quick drive-by; it’s a full deep-dive into the secrets of distillation, culminating in a tasting that will turn you from a tourist into a connoisseur.

Our tour unique is deep dive into the "somewhere" that created a man who claimed to be "from nowhere." Andy Warhol's parents were Carpatho-Rusyn immigrants from what is now eastern Slovakia, and our tour offers an unparalleled opportunity to trace their incredible journey. We start in Miková, his parents' birthplace, where you'll feel the weight of history and stand on the very spot where his mother’s house once stood. This is more than a historical site; it’s a tangible link to the humble beginnings that fueled a global icon. Our tour also looks to the future of art in Medzilaborce, home to the Andy Warhol Museum. While currently under reconstruction, we'll see the promise of its grand reopening in spring 2026. Beyond Warhol, we explore the region's culture, hiking to the majestic statue of Count Laborec and visiting the solemn ruins of the Krasny Brod monastery, a powerful memorial to World War I. This tour lets you see beyond the art and into the soul of the artist.

Enjoy a hike in Slovakia’s spectacular High Tatras Mountains, led by an experienced private guide. A wonderland of rocky peaks, the High Tatras National Park is criss-crossed by trails that snake through deep valleys, lakes, pine forests, waterfalls and ravines. Depending on your ability, choose an easy-, medium-level hike or more challenging route, such as a climb up Rysy, the Tatras’ highest peak, near the Polish border. Discuss your preferences with your guide before your adventure to enjoy a customized hiking route that takes anything from six to 10 hours.
