Do it!
We had 6 in our group and some were hesitant with the slight rainy/ muddy conditions, but it ended up not be scary at all. One did choose to do an “easy rider” but we all were so happy we didn’t back out. Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. Lunch was delicious. Best experience we had in Sapa, I felt bad for the trekkers as we were zooming past them.

Great option
This was the best choice for us. We chose to have a driver and each of us as passenger. This allowed us to transit through the various sites easily and safely.
Toa was our guide. He was very experienced and personable. I would happily recommend this experience for anyone who wants to see Sa Pa from a different perspective.

Good hike!
Definitely do a private tour otherwise there might be a lot of waiting and/or rushing depending on the pace of thr group. Manage your expectations regarding the view, it is very smoggy even in sunshine. A mix of trails, paved roads, and paddy ledges. Mostly a downhill hike from Sapa Town. Our guide, Soo, was kind. As well published, the villagers do follow you and will high pressure sales you their handicrafts.

Great walk through paddy fields.
Wonderful walk from SaPa city center to the villages. Sadly it was raining on the day we did the tour but our guide made the most of it. We enjoyed trekking through the paddy fields and spending time with the villages.

It was a challenging but nice tour, travelling through Sapa and it’s surrounding villages on a bike was difficult no doubt but it was a once in a lifetime experience…we went through several offbeat villages watching the local life and also to many picturesque touristy spots…our guides Chin and Bin were very friendly and tried to make us as comfortable as possible.

Sapa Trekking Experience
We had a great morning with our tour guide Sisi. She was very helpful and informative. I would recommend bringing better hiking shoes or shoes with grip if you are going the slippery road but there is a Mainer road if you would like that option.

Amazing tour with Lucas!
Amazing experience in Sapa! Lucas was an amazing guide, very friendly, professional, and made the whole day enjoyable. The motorbike ride through the rice fields, villages, and waterfalls was beautiful and exciting. Lucas shared local knowledge and made us feel safe the entire time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sapa!

Most hikes around Sapa are steep. Travelers with lower physical fitness should look for a private guide who can create a custom tour.
Bring waterproof layers at every time of year, and be prepared for cold weather in winter.
Most travelers who use wheelchairs or strollers will find Sapa a challenging destination, with steep slopes, raised curbs, muddy single-track paths, and few accessible bathrooms.
