Absolutely amazing experience
This tour was fantastic value and the staff left an excellent impression on me. The sites we visited were fantastic, the itinerary was clearly laid out, and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. They were also knowledgeable not just of the places we went but of Japan/Japanese culture as well, and were super fun to talk to!

Sunny day in Nagano
We've spent a sunny day with perfect weather in Nagano. Sake tasting and the snow monkeys in the forest made our day.

This was a fantastic...
This was a fantastic experience overall. We toured the Zenko-ji temple, tasted sake and had lunch, which was terrific. Lunch was very close to Jigokudani Park, so we walked to see the snow monkeys directly after eating. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable. The tour participants met on time and the drive to the park was scenic. An all around great day.

Mountains, monkeys, and munchies
Checks a lot of boxes in a short time. History, food, alcohol, nature, shopping. Top marks, Graeme and Kei were solid.

Must do in Japan!
The only issue is the long walk. People with challenges should be aware.
It was a great experience, except we missed the snow around the monkeys like in the photos!!
We had great guide Ren.
The visit to the temple was an added bonus! The apple pie is to die for - in a puff covering with custard inside!! Absolute Bliss! The lunch was the best curated meal we've had in Japan over the last 10 days! Superbly created & well presented. All in all a great tour!

Perfect tour
Ali was very accommodating with our group. He arranged everything for us, he got us as close to the snow monkey park as possible, and he gave us great tips for visiting the temple. Our children don’t do well with structured tours so this was perfect for us.

Great totally worth it
It was very nice. We enjoyed the temple first it was nice that we had some time to stroll around and check because the temple is quite big after that sake tasting was very good and then the lunch was amazing much better than expected and of course, the highlight of the tour is the snow monkeys.

Our family was lucky to...
Our family was lucky to have Jens and Alice as our guides during the day trip. We split into two groups for the Zenko-ji temple tour and Sake tasting, which made the group sizes more manageable. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and setting of the lunch and amazed by the snow monkey encounter. Worth the trek up the mountain even in the rain to see them!

The climb is worth it!
Absolutely did not disappoint.
You walk 1.6k to get to some pretty daunting steps, but they look worse than they are and it's definitely worth the climb and there are hundreds of monkeys playing in the pools at the top.
Tour guides were very helpful, respectful and a pleasure to be around.

Snow Monkey and Zenko-ji Tour with Hori
Our tour guide was Hori and he was absolutely fantastic! His knowledge of the area and history behind everything was great. Our experience was so much fun. The hike was icy when we went in March so I definitely recommend having good traction shoes or spikes to go up and down the path. It is well worth the walk to see the monkeys in their natural habitat. The Zenko-ji temple was beautiful and wonderful to walk around.

An amazing day
Such an amazing day!! Our tour guide Eriko was such a friendly, kind and knowledgeable person. She was able to tell us a lot of the history of the temple and the snow monkey park.
Lunch was tasty and filling and the bus ride very comfortable.
