This is a tour for families with children who love vehicles, people who love trains, and people who love architecture to come and see and experience the joy of Japanese railroads! At the Railway Museum, you can learn about the history of Japanese railroads, enter an old train car that was actually running, and see dioramas and other exhibits. The museum also has two restaurants and a café, including a high-class restaurant with a motif of a dining car that used to be connected to Shinkansen and sleeper trains. In addition, visitors can purchase ekiben (boxed meals) at the store or bring their own lunch boxes to eat on the actual train. In the outdoor Park Zone, visitors can actually experience driving a mini driving train and mini shuttle. In the “mini driving train,” visitors can drive a mini train on a track with a circumference of about 300 meters. The “Panorama Deck” on the rooftop provides a panoramic view of the Shinkansen tracks and is a great place to spend the day.

Step into a true samurai town—and finish with seasonal fruit picking—on this relaxed small-group day tour from Nagano. Your day centers on Matsushiro Samurai Town, one of Nagano’s best-preserved former castle districts. Walk through calm Edo-period streets and explore key sites tied to the legendary Sanada clan, including the castle ruins, the Sanada Treasure Museum, a samurai residence, and the Bunbu School where warriors trained in both studies and martial discipline. With an English-speaking guide, Matsushiro’s history comes alive. Then head to the countryside for seasonal fruit picking in Chikuma (included)—a fun local highlight that changes with the time of year. Along the way, stop at Oyaki Farm Matsushiro for terrace views and factory viewing; freshly made oyaki are available to purchase (optional). This tour is smooth and well-paced, returning to Nagano Station by mid-afternoon—ideal if you want a full experience without a late finish.

Guests will journey deep into the hidden region of Nagano known as Akiyamago, a remote mountain valley rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. Here, they’ll soak in one of the wildest open-air hot springs in Nagano, where the healing waters bubble up directly from the riverbed — a rare and unforgettable experience. Important Note: The outdoor hot spring may be unavailable during bad weather if the river overflows. In that case, we’ll visit a local indoor onsen instead. The tour also includes a taste of tradition with a hearty bear meat hot pot lunch, called "Kumanabe", a local specialty passed down through generations. On the way back to Iiyama Station, we’ll stop by a local sake brewery, where guests can enjoy tasting some of Nagano’s finest rice wine. Akiyamago is usually closed off in winter due to extreme snowfall that even surpasses ski resorts, but we operate guided car tours to this remote area.
