This one-day trip will take you from Moshi to the sugar cane plantations, where nature abounds and wildlife is waiting to be discovered.We start the day with a transfer from your hotel in Moshi to the starting point of the ride at our bike shop. We will cycle south through the sugar cane fields towards the TPC Club where the tour ends. Along the way, we’ll see beautiful scenery with the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro as our backdrop. We will have a delicious lunch at the Planters restaurant and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before being transferred back to Moshi.

We’ll depart from Moshi early in the morning and drives traight to the Tarangire National Park. The park’s landscape is awe-inspiring; dotted with colossal termite mounds (some now the homes of Mr and Mrs Mongoose and all the little mongoose) and ancient baobab trees, as well as golden savannah. The park has a year-round water supply and that’s why it’s so rich in wildlife. Bird lovers won’t be disappointed. The park hosts over 550 species of bird, including the world’s largest, the Maasai ostrich. (Yes, Tarangire is a small park but it attracts the biggest animals!). You’ll have a great view from the open roof of your sturdy 4x4, so get your camera ready for giraffe, warthog, impala, cheetah, mongoose, buffalo, and baboons. Nicknamed the "Whiskey" route because the route is popularized as somewhat difficult and more expensive than Marangu route. On an overall comparison of the routes to scale Kilimanjaro, this is one of the best routes to take, both in terms of acclimatization and cost. The Machame route is considered a difficult route, and is better suited for more adventurous trekkers and those with some hiking or backpacking experience. The Machame route is scenically beautiful and varied. However, due to its popularity there are increased numbers of trekkers, it loses some of its splendour. The Machame route approaches the summit from the southwest and descends using the Mweka route, rewarding climbers with views of the expansive Shira Plateau, an optional scramble up Lava Tower, a climb up the Great Barranco wall, and a traverse underneath Kilimanjaro’s southern ice field.
