Welcome to our Snowshoeing tour in the most beautiful National Park in Lapland! We will go where the snow is deepest and try to stay off the beaten path. This way we will get to experience the calm nature, beautiful Lapland landscapes and the real purpose of snowshoes. We will end our tour on a small barbeque at a campfire with some hot drinks and sausages. The tour will start by our guide picking you up from your accommodation in Levi area. We will then drive approximately 45 minutes on a private 4x4 truck to the National Park. We will hike in the deep snow for approximately 30-90 minutes depending on your group preferences. We can also save some time for sledging/playing in the snow if your group wants. After that, we will have a nice small barbeque on a campfire. Then a short walk back to the car and we will head back to your accommodation. All of our tours are private, so we can customize them for your preferences.

This experience takes place on a real working gold claim in Kuttura, not a tourist demonstration site. During this 3–4 hour experience, you will learn how to identify gold-bearing soil and use traditional tools such as a gold pan, shovel and sluice. The activity is fully hands-on and includes digging, washing and checking material for gold. At the end, the collected material is carefully cleaned, and any gold you find can be taken home in a small glass vial. The group size is limited to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure personal guidance. Pickup from Ivalo and Saariselkä is available on request.

We visit the beautiful winter garden of Arktikum Arctic Museum, admire the iconic Jätkänkynttilä (Lumberjack) bridge from the best angles, stop to enjoy a hot drink, and even ride on the frozen river ice during the winter months before returning back to our starting point. We will take breaks during the ride, so you can take out your camera and photograph the outstanding nature and landscapes. Edited photos taken by your guide are also included in the price of the tour, and will be available for download after the tour. Winter biking with a fatbike is easy and fun way to explore the area. The tires are wide and bouncy, making the ride very comfortable.
