Great tour with amazing guide!
It was an amazing tour! Zach was our driver and guide and he was super knowledgeable, friendly and kind. He was organized, and told us many stories along the way. He also made sure to make as many stops as possible for us to see animals! We were lucky! We saw a couple of eagles, a marmot, a bear, a moose and a big horn sheep! Cruise was nice and all the lakes are breath taking. This tour is great for all ages, and if you have Zach as your driver and guide, bonus!

Simply breathtaking views from Spirit Island
We had a great time visiting Medicine and Maligne Lake. Shelby our guide was very knowledgeable about the habitat and stopped the bus a couple of times so we could take pictures of wildlife. Our favourite part of the trip was the boat trip to Spirit Island with breathtaking views. My only wish is that the tour allowed longer at Maligne Lake so that we could stop for a bite to eat and soak up the scenery as it felt rushed even going to buy a coffee.

Excellent tour!
Our tour guide Trevor was very knowledgeable about the area, especially the impact of the 2024 Jasper wildfire. The hike to Moose Lake fulfilled its promise. We saw a moose munching the underwater vegetation. Also saw bighorn sheep on the way back to town.

Definitely recommend!
Definitely recommend this tour! Bubba said “10”!! Our guide was a young man from Waterloo Ontario. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, animals, lakes and the history of the region. The hike to Moose lake was very cool! Actually saw a moose in the woods on the way back, along with several elk and a few Marmot. September 9th was a bit early for a daytime spotting of any bears.
Medicine Lake
- The lake is an intriguing stop for geology and glacier enthusiasts—information boards provide details about the lake’s natural disappearing act.
- If you want to get on the water, bring your own craft or rent a kayak from a shop that delivers it to the lake for you.
- The lake’s north viewpoint (paved and wheelchair accessible) is the best spot to stop for photos overlooking the lake.
- Medicine Lake offers a quiet alternative to the more populated Maligne Lake.
