Trip to Mayfield Falls

Roads to get to Mayfield Falls are ROUGH, but it is so worth it. Dave was an excellent guide! He was very kind and knowledgeable. I am a very clumsy person, and he made sure that I never fell (that’s a huge accomplishment, lol). The water was absolutely beautiful! It was cool and refreshing. Definitely would recommend taking this tour, be sure to ask for Dave!

Amazing experience! Ask for tour guide Dave!

We had an amazing time on this trip, Damion was our driver and got us everywhere we needed to go safely. Mayfield Falls was incredible, Dave was so good with our kids (10 and 7), our daughter who is normally very shy was so comfortable with Dave assisting her through the water, this meant to most to me just to see the pure enjoyment on her face. Wonderful trip

It was simply a wonderful trip; our driver, Michael, arrived on time, and he told interesting stories about the cities throughout the entire trip. There was another guide at the waterfalls themselves who took us on a tour of all the waterfalls and took some truly amazing photos and videos. Thank you for such a wonderful adventure.

Mayfield Falls was pretty...

Mayfield Falls was pretty unexpected. I did not really know what to think before going, but it turned out to be a long, but interesting car ride to the most beautiful river I have seen. Once we got there, we were able to hike through the river and take plenty of pictures. Overall, it was very pretty. Our tour guide and driver, Michael, was very knowledgeable, and I would definitely do this one again. It was really fun. If you like hiking but do not like the idea of being out in really hot weather, the water helps cool you down a lot.

Do it! Adventure in the falls awaits!

Mayfield Falls was amazing! Be prepared to be wet and adventurous. If you have your own water shoes, that’s the way to go, but if not, no worries they have them for rent. Andrey our falls guy was also wonderful. Damien was a fantastic driver/ guide. After the falls we did quick trips to the blue hole and Ricks, but the highlight was for sure the falls. Definitely recommend!

“River of forgetfulness”

Our driver for the day, Damion, has been driving these roads for years, and his knowledge and love for the island really shine through. The drive up the mountain to the falls is a bit long, but it’s incredibly scenic and absolutely worth it. Along the way, you can still see some of the effects of the last hurricane, yet Jamaica’s beauty and resilience continue to shine. Ricardo was our guide at the falls, and you can tell he’s truly one with nature. He has such a kind heart and made the experience so much more meaningful by sharing stories and insights about the island. If you want to experience the real Jamaica, this is the tour to take. The highlight for us was definitely the rafting. If you get the chance, be sure to stop by and see Monic for her authentic rum punch—it was delicious! Our rafting guide, Chris, was a truly beautiful soul. He matched our energy perfectly and shared his genuine love and knowledge of the island, making the experience unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who made this such a special day.

Very natural - worth the travel

Its a long ride over roads that have been damaged by the hurricane - but worth it. The place show still signs of damage - however the falls are a very nice natural experience - not at all like Dunns (disney falls) - The man showed us lots of nature. And our driver Damien was exceptional. Wear water shoes and take money for the local produce - Would not recommend this for anyone with walking issues or unsteady of foot as it involves climbing & walking on uneven river bed. There was only one group of 4 people there when we went.

Natural jacuzzi’s and pools

Had a fabulous visit to Mayfield falls. It’s so authentically beautiful and we were able to take our time to really appreciate it. Experiencing the natural jacuzzi’s and swimming in the pools was fantastic. Dave our guide was really friendly and helpful, he looked after our phone and took a lot of photos on it for us.

Recommend Mayfield Falls

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Michael from Jamaica Hidden Treasure arrived on time to pick us up from our hotel. On the way to Mayfield Michael gave us interesting information about the areas/towns we were travelling through. At the falls a guide arranged by Michael was waiting for us. There is a short walk down steps to get to the falls, then adventure begins it did not disappoint. All the levels of the falls offered beautiful views and safe water experiences. Highly recommend Tip bring water proof cover for your phone as photo opportunities are not to be missed.
