Dreamy Sails Daily Cruises at Argostoli Kefalonia Island

The cruise departs from the port of Argostoli on the traditional Greek wooden boat Christina, it takes about an hour of slow cruising along the coastline of Argostoli and Lassi to reach White Rocks beach, a stunning paradise hidden just south of the cosmopolitan beaches of Platys and Makris Gialos, the boat will anchor there and you will be able to enjoy the blue-green, crystal waters for about an hour! Then it’s off to the island of Vardiani another hour of swimming and a chance to explore on foot the remote islet with the lighthouse and a wreck of a famous Russian traditional boat! Meanwhile the crew will prepare a wonderful meal on board with traditional Greek cuisine, plenty of freshly cut salad and complimentary wine! After we will sail to the last station of the day, Xi beach, located on the Paliki peninsula near Lixouri and famous for its red sand and natural clay beach. Then we will return back to Argostoli port where the beautiful journey finishes.

Kefalonia Boat Adventure Swimming and Traditional Greek Lunch

Departing at 09.30, Captain and the crew will welcome us on board the boat as we set sail from Argostoli port. Firstly, the boat will take us near to the fish farms where dolphins are often spotted. Then we will gently cruise along the Lassi shoreline and we head over White Rocks area where we stop for swimming for about one hour. Plenty of games such as snorkelling and kayaks will keep us entertained. We will then cruise towards Vardiani or Xi beach where we dock for the lunch stop. There is time to relax in the sun whilst the crew prepare a delicious traditional Greek lunch. The meal is accompanied by local wine, refreshments and water. After lunch, we relax on the beach and enjoy the afternoon sun.At around 4pm, we will leave the beach and set sail for the return journey to the port. At around 5pm, we will arrive back into port.For anything extra, there is a small bar on the boat. Itinerary and swim stops are subject to sea conditions.

A famous Xi beach with red sand on the Ionian island of Kefalonia, Greece.

Families are drawn to this beach for the clean sand and water, plus shallow wading area along the shore.
Erosion has left very little public beach; if the free area is full, rent a sun umbrella and chair at one of the private beach clubs.
Visitors to Xi Beach often improvise mud bath treatments with the natural mineral clay found along the cliffs: Cover your face and body with the wet clay and let it dry in the sun before cleaning yourself off with a quick dip in the sea.
There is free public parking just behind the beach.
There is no boardwalk to make the waterfront accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.
