Exception trip, not to be missed

This trip was one of the highlights of our holiday. We opted for a smaller group booking which I was really pleased with as we all got on well. Our guide Nicole was exceptional, she gave us lots of information and history during the journey and throughout the day. Visiting the tunnels was a experience I will never forget. We had a fabulous lunch and all sat together chatting and exchanging stories. This was followed by a quick drive to the Mekong where we boarded a boat, the captain provided us with fresh coconut juice, There was only 8 of us in our group and we had the whole boat to ourselves. We disembarked and travelled through the narrow waters in canoe's and a speed boat which was breathtaking. We wen to a local village where we were treated to a performance by the local women whilst being fed fruit and tea. We had a change to visit the crocodile farm and try some of the local SNAKE alcohol. Our last mode of transport was a tutu van through the village to then board the boat back to the limo mini bus. An overall exceptional trip, highly recommended.

Brilliant day out and very knowledgeable guide

Had an amazing day on this tour! We had our own personal guide, Hieu from Indochina Heritage. He had been in the army once upon a time and was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. We learnt so much about the Vietnam war, the tunnels, the traps, the geography of the area and the weapons that were used. We went down into a number of tunnels and have loads of photos. My partner also did the shooting, which he enjoyed. Hieu and a driver very efficiently picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back there at the end of the day. All in all a brilliant day. Would highly recommend this trip and especially Hieu as the tour guide (much better than taking the tour as part of a large group).

This is my first time using Viator and I highly recommend it to everyone. While everyone else was lining up for immigration I was escorted through the diplomatic line, to baggage claim. The wonderful host, in her beautiful traditional ao dai, even helped me setting up my phone to get the airport wifi and then schedule a car service with the Grab app on my phone and then escorted me out of the airport and all the way to the car. The entire experience for my first time to Vietnam was completely stress free.
