What are people saying about Galway

A lovely way to spend the day....
First of all, our driver, Mike was great! Full of information, humor but still low key. The drive was not as winding as I feared. I took a motion sickness pill before we went and I was fine. This is the only tour that gets to use the route we took!! It's exceptional! Mike called out history and information for all the villages, towns, lakes, etc we passed by. We had several photo stops. The landscape is gorgeous and ever changing. We had a 30 min stop in Clifden, which is a charming town. Beware! 30 minutes goes by faster than you think! Set an alarm for 25 min so you have time to get back to the bus! ( I admit, I was 1 and 3 min late back to the bus on both major stops, Mike was sweet about it, but a couple passengers threw daggers! Lol)
I guess I was the Black Sheep of the bus!
We went to Kylemore Abbey. It's a wonder! The view of the castle across the lake is the shot to beat! We had 3 hours there. Again, set your alarm for 2.5 hours to allow you time to get back to the bus. You are covering a lot of ground there! I'll keep details out so you can discover the beauty for yourself. All in all...this trip was well worth it! Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful ❤️
The Boat trip was great. Good facilities on board. The island is beautiful. We saw lots of puffins amongst many other sea birds at the beautiful Cliffs of Moher and we saw 3 pods of Dolphins as we sailed back while seeing the beautiful Burren coast of Co.Clare. The Crew were really nice. It's a worth while trip.

Amazing perfect day
John was an amazing guide! We were so comfortable with him and fit in so much in just a short time. We were only in Galway area for one day and it was just a perfect way to spend it. He gave us enough time to spend in each place and we hit about 5 or 6 different places and enjoyed. It was misty to see the cliffs well unfortunately but still beautiful from what we could see. Would recommend to all my friends and family. Thanks so much!!

The Experience of a Lifetime
If you're visiting Galway, book this tour.
From the moment we arrived, everything was incredibly well organized. The meeting point was easy to find, making for a stress-free start to the day.
Our driver and guide, Gary, was kind, funny, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He shared so much history, local folklore, and fascinating facts throughout the journey that the drive itself became just as memorable as the destinations.
The route through the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher was absolutely breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to have mostly good weather with only a brief shower along the way.
One of my favourite memories from my entire trip to Ireland was enjoying proper fish and chips by the roadside while sipping a Guinness after taking in the incredible scenery. It's one of those moments I'll never forget.
I can't recommend Galway Tour Company highly enough. If you're visiting Galway and want to experience some of Ireland's most spectacular landscapes while learning from an engaging local guide, this tour is an absolute must.

Worth it!
Our guide, Phil, was fun and knowledgeable. He kept us entertained during the bus ride. The tour itself was amazing. The chance to see the cliffs from the water was worth the rain. The boat pilot gives you plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the spectacular views. The island was charming and gorgeous. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.

One of the best!
Ilt is an excellent tour, wonderful scenery, beautiful buildings, AND we were lucky with the weather. Very pleased with the welcome we received and the punctual departure. Last but not least, Mike, our driver/guide greatly enhanced our journey with just the right amount of information, given with warmth and humour.

A beautiful Connemara Day!
We had a beautiful sunny day for our trip to Connemara. The landscape is a true delight. Should it be raining please prepare ahead. The gardens at Kylemore are certainly worth a walk around. The abbey is best to view only from the outside if you are short on time. Insufficient time to view and read everything inside the abbey. Arrive early if you want to be at the front of the bus. Roads are narrow and sometimes winding. Front of the bus is better if you tend get car sick.
Our driver, Mcdara was great. A great driver, historian and full of enjoins witty stories!

Excellent tour!
Mike was a great tour guide and an excellent bus driver - driving a large bus on some of those very small roads is no small feat! He was personable and engaging and knew quite a lot about the area, even sharing a few personal stories about his family. He had great recommendations for how to get the most of our the tour - we really appreciated the insights, especially at Kylemore Abbey. I'd highly recommend this tour!

Appreciated the small...
Appreciated the small group feel & Kenny was a great guide and story teller. Great locations for photography. Highly recommend for those looking for seaside views to see the cliffs & absorb the grandness of the sculpted erosion over time. Inisheer lunch was good too, got a good amount of steps in to break up the ride.

The Cliffs of Moher with a Surprise Chocolate Stop
We had a great day with Alan. The main objective was the Cliffs of Moher and traveling along the Wild Atlantic Way with castles and lots of scenery. So… the weather wasn’t ideal but Alan knew how to make the best of it! We made a surprise detour and stopped by the Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory. This is an absolute must see. A personalized tour and tasting with all-natural ingredients. Incredible. The Cliffs of Moher were awe-inspiring. The weather was rough and so was the North Atlantic. Something to experience for sure!

Amazing
Sean was a great guide, we saw much of Connemara, making many stops in spots with breathtaking views. There was enough time to enjoy everything and the tour was very well structured.
Sean told us many interesting stories, sometimes a bit timidly, but always well. 10/10 would recommend

Worth It!
Loved this experience and it was well worth the price (which was very reasonable). You get on a smaller bus which I prefer. It was clean and the driver was talented at navigating the narrow roads. We felt totally safe on our trek to and from the cliffs. The tour guide/driver provides a little of detail of the surrounding areas on the way there and clearly outlines expectations with timing and safety at the cliffs. Plenty of time to view the cliffs, the stores and enjoy yourself. Loved this half day trip!
