My friend and I loved this trip. It was so beautiful. The weather was perfect. And a big thanks to Philip. Super fun tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the area. Made extra sure we were all safe while still having fun. Thanks Philip. And a big shout out to Ollie. 🙌🏻

Dress in layers because the weather changes quickly, wear comfortable/sturdy footwear and bring a water bottle.
Our hike to the cliffs was phenomenal! Our guide, Phil, was friendly, informative, and kept us laughing the whole trip. The actual hike (really just more of an uphill walk) was very manageable and offered unreal views along the way. We can’t imagine experiencing the cliffs any other way and are truly grateful for this experience :)
Gus was an excellent driver who stopped to show us sights along the way to our destination. Murphy was our excellent hiking guide who told us bits of history along the way and kept us entertained. Our hike was stunning, uncrowded and views unbelievable! So nice to skip the crowded visitors center and fees!
I highly recommend this tour. It was small, and the guide, Phill, was fantastic. Phill kept us laughing and had lots of interesting info to share. And getting to experience the Cliffs on a hike is the best way (we also saw them from the water and if I had to choose one or the other, I'd definitely pick the small group hike). Phill picked us up in Galway, took us to Doolin, and was our guide along the hike. He stopped periodically for us to take pictures and share interesting facts. He would take our picture for us along the way too, so we were able to get some great (non-selfie) group shots. After the hike, we ate lunch in Doolin and then headed back to Galway. It was the perfect tour!
Dee made the trip. I’ve wanted to do this trip for decades and she made it match my highest expectations. I wish the tour noted to bring tip euro.

Hey Alan 👋 Thank you so much for your review!
It is fantastic you finally got to tick the Cliffs of Moher off your bucket list 🥳 I am glad you had a good time 😊
This was a wonderful way to see the Cliffs of Moher. Murph was a great guide, thoughtful and funny. He kept us moving, but also filled us in on the history of the cliffs and Ireland. We did this hike on our last day in Ireland and it was a wonderful way to wrap up our time here. I can’t recommend this experience enough.

Hey! Thank you so much for your review 🥳
I am happy to hear you enjoyed your Cliffs of Moher Tour with Murph, he is a very knowledgable guide 😎
Thanks for coming with us 🧡
Phil was a hard working and wonderfully entertaining tour guide. We had a small group of 7 people and really enjoyed the day. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that I thought that after we hiked up, we would be hiking down too. But we took a taxi down. I’m sure some people enjoyed that though!
Our tour guide, Dierdre, was amazing. She was a wealth of knowledge, and made the day really shine. I would do this tour again just to hang out with her! We had a small group and the weather was unpredictable, but the experience was one of the most memorable from our trip. Hiking the cliffs was a fantastic experience, and would not have traded this for another opportunity! Best part, outside of the views and the company, was getting to see the nesting puffins along the trail.

Hey Mathew 👋 Thank you for your nice review!
It is great to hear you had such a good time with Deidre on your Cliffs of Moher Tour ☘️ The puffins are amazing to see.
I hope you had an amazing trip!!!
If you do nothing else while in Galway - you have to do this tour! Daryn was our guide and she was so sweet, upbeat and truly excited to share with us everything about the Cliffs and the area leading to them. Taking the 5 mile hike from the bottom up is really a fantastic experience because you get to see things that others will not if they just enter up top by the visitors center. We walked for about 3 hours, taking breaks for photos and to take it in - and everywhere you looked, it was absolutely beautiful. Then when we got to the Cliffs, there are really no words to explain the pure beauty of it all. We also spotted some Puffins, horses and the biggest cows we’ve ever seen. This review will not give the experience justice - but trust me, it’s an experience you will not want to miss.

Hey! Thank you so much for your lovely review 🥰
I am so happy to hear you had a great time on your Cliffs of Moher Tour ☘️ It is fantastic that you got the chance to see the Puffins 🥳
I hope you have memories for a lifetime ❤️
Incredibly well organized! The hike itself was beautiful and just the right level of difficulty. Our guide Phil shared lots of stories that made each landmark memorable. He took extra care to make sure we were doing okay. Would def recommend.
Murph our tour guide was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the area . The hike was fun despite the cooler weather . Would definitely do it again!
Phil was one of the funniest and most down-to-earth tour guides I’ve ever had. He was easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of topics. The Cliffs of Moher hike was manageable and absolutely stunning. Doing the hike with a small group was far more relaxing and enjoyable than being on a large bus tour with dozens of people. You have the chance to get to know everyone, move at a comfortable pace, and really take in the experience. The cliffs themselves are breathtaking. I have never seen such an incredible view. If you’re visiting the Cliffs of Moher, I highly recommend this tour!
Such a fantastic trip from start to finish. Kevin "Murph" Murphy was fabulous - warm, kind, knowledgeable and concerned about our comfort and our experience. He really made the hike and journey even better. Loved the day we spent hiking the Cliffs!!
Five stars: an unforgettable Cliffs of Moher hike with an artist’s eye
This was an excellent hiking experience and one of the most memorable days of our Ireland trip.
We hiked the Cliffs of Moher on what may have been the best weather day ever: blue sky, puffy white clouds, clear visibility and chilly, fresh air. From the trail, we could see across to Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands, with the Twelve Bens of Connemara visible in the distance. Everywhere we looked felt like a postcard view.
The Cliffs of Moher are amazing from every angle. We had taken a Cliffs of Moher ferry the day before to experience the cliffs from the water, and this hiking tour was the perfect companion experience. Seeing the cliffs from above, walking along the trail, and having time to stop for photos made the day feel complete.
Our guide, Phill Foley, did an awesome job. He shared storytelling, history and points of interest along the way, while also keeping our small group safe and moving at a comfortable pace. The hike never felt rushed. We had plenty of time for photos, questions and simply taking in the views.
Phill is clearly an experienced guide, and we learned he has been doing this tour regularly for many years. Even so, the tour felt fresh. He brought genuine energy and excitement to sharing the landscape with us.
Tip: ask Phill about his art over lunch. He may not bring it up unless you ask, but he is also a Galway-based landscape artist. Once we learned that, his guiding style made even more sense. He sees the landscape, not just the trail.
We also appreciated the pacing of the full day. There was a relaxed stop for coffee and a pastry on the way, and after the hike we stopped for lunch at McDermott’s Bar in Doolin, an internationally known pub for traditional Irish session music.
Great guide, spectacular views, comfortable pace and a day we will remember. Highly recommended.
Lots of walking but stops along the way for photo ops allow for breaks to catch one's breath. The views are worth the effort. Our guide, Phil, was real, gung-ho, and funny. His knowledge of Irish lore and history was entertaining and informative.
Beautiful view! Ollies Tours made it an excellent experience. Murph and karvil (sorry if I butchered the spelling) were the best guides- providing great historic information that gave us a better picture of Ireland.
My small group was only 9 people and our guide. It gave me a chance to meet the others on our tour which was fun as a solo traveler. You avoid the business of the visitor center and go to a private spot to see the cliffs from Doolin all the way to the other end. My guide Phil was very knowledgeable and nice. Lunch in Doolin was also great. Good variety of food. Would recommend for anyone who enjoys hiking and getting away from the busy crowds.
Phil was a fantastic guide. Had a wonderful time. Definitely worth hiking the cliffs instead of just stopping by the visitor center

Hey Ethan - Thanks for the review!
Great to hear you enjoyed our Cliffs of Moher Tour from Doolin with Phil!
Hopefully we'll see you again on a future tour! ☘️
My husband and I had the BEST time on this tour! Phil was an amazing tour guide and truly made all my Ireland dreams come true. We were picked up in Galway and headed down to Doolin, where we started the hike. The hike was the best way to experience the Cliffs of Moher. After the hike, we did some shopping in Doolin, then Phil took us to one of his favorite restaurants for lunch on our way back to Galway. Such a special day and a highlight of the trip - would recommend to anyone!
This was a great tour led by Sophia. We walked along the Cliffs of Moher as a small group (6 people) and got to learn about the region’s history. Sophia was very informative. We walked for 3 hours and then had lunch at a local seafood restaurant. Everyone from Ollie’s tours is very kind, knowledgeable and chill.
An outstanding experience! Our guide, Phil, was knowledgeable, fun, and a joy of a guy. He gives you the sights that are better than any picture will do it justice and all the while gives you the rich history, local stories of the cliffs and area. He caters the experience to what you’d like to do. We had a blast! This is way better than just stopping at the visitor center.
The guides and overall experience are excellent. It is a very popular site in Ireland but this is a highly personalized tour and doesn’t make you feel like like you’ve checked the box.
This was such an awesome day! I highly recommend. You stop for coffee on the way which is good cause it’s also a bathroom break. The cliffs are breathtaking, and you get to go to parts that other travelers don’t since you are with a guide. I loved this day- a highlight from Galway.
This might have been one of our favorite days during our Ireland vacation! My husband, adult daughter, and I all had an amazing time. Ollie picked us up from Galway and kept us entertained throughout the ride to Doolin.
From there, we were guided by a very knowledgeable and friendly local on our walk along the Cliffs of Moher. A bit of wind and rain didn’t take away from the experience at all—we felt safe throughout the entire adventure.
After the walk, we enjoyed a drink at a local pub and did some sweater shopping, which was the perfect way to end the day before heading back.
Thank you, Ollie and crew, for a fantastic day!
Ollie Tours was the best, well organized small group tour. Clear directions, convenient pick up, with Ollie being an energetic host. The Cliffs are NOT to be missed. Ollie provided a guide who gave us a superb history of Ireland.
This was such an amazing way to see the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin! The views were absolutely stunning and our tour guide Sean was very informative and made the hike awesome! I would highly recommend booking with this tour group!
Ollie is an excellent tour guide and tour company owner. He leads very personal, fun trips, and shared many locals tips and history with us. He drove us from Galway to Doolin in his big orange van (guides wear orange sweatshirts too). He was accommodating by stopping for coffee before we took off on our drive, stopping in the Burren for pictures and dropped us off for our respective trips. His company connects you with Aran Island and Cliffs of Moher excursions. I'd highly recommend the Cliffs of Moher hiking trip over a bus trip for people who are moderately active and not afraid of heights. We had pretty rough weather with rain and wind, but the trip was still gorgeous and enjoyable. It's only a 5km easy hike along the cliffs, stopping for pictures and breaks as needed. The trail goes through local farmers land (permitted), and by using a tour guide I was happy to support the local economy and learn a lot along the way. The hike starts in Doolin and ends near the visitor center where you are shuttled back to Doolin. The final section of trail into the visitor center was closed (and may be thru 2025), but it didn't damper the hike in anyway and in fact made it better because there were less tourists on it as it didn't connect to the visitor center area. The cliffs reminded me of the Waimea valley on Big Island Hawaii. Our hiking guide Tommy was a great storyteller, patient, accommodating, and funny. His great insights into the history of Ireland, the area and its people, the famine, and so on, was far richer than anything I'd read. Back in Doolin you then have time to eat and shop, I'd recommend the Ivy Cottage restaurant, with reasonable prices and better food than pubs. I highly recommend Tommy guiding, and Ollie's tours 1000%. Do yourself and favor and get on these tours and off mega tour buses!
Hiking/walking from Doolin to the Cliffs was a great experience. Views were amazing along the way. Loved the lunch at McDermotts after.
What a fantastic adventure! Clean van, awesome driver Phil. Wonderful funny stories on the drive from Phil and a wise choice for our lunch. Tom, cannot say enough wonderful things about this extremely knowledgeable young man. His storytelling of the area was extremely interesting and accurate. He was very mindful of all the people on the hike to make sure we were safe and gave us the opportunity to see the cliffs from a breath taking area. Book this hike!
The Cliffs of Moher hike was wonderful and we stopped multiple times for pictures. The communication about what was going on after the hike could be better as some people were confused about whether we were eating lunch in town or stopping at a different town altogether.
