As you traverse six miles of scenic trails, the guides will share fascinating insights into the natural and cultural history of the park, enriching your journey. Perfect for riders of all skill levels, this trail ride promises a unique and immersive experience in nature's beauty.

2 Hour Horseback trails rides are all led by two friendly and experienced guides, and are suitable for first time riders! The trail rides explore a variety of natural eco-communities and terrain, where an abundance of wildlife, flora, and fauna can be seen. The well-trained, happy horses eagerly carry their riders, creating a safe a relaxed experienced while you enjoy the sites of the trail and the new partnership of your horse. During the ride you'll learn about the natural, historical, and cultural points of significance found in the park, as well as interesting information about the horses you are riding. Exploring up to six miles of trail allow guests to become immersed in the wonder of the natural surrounding. Traversing the depths of the vibrant surrounding forest by horseback offers one of the most unique experiences in all of Central Florida. What makes this experience special is the chance to ride a horse directly through the shallow coastal waters of Florida while surrounded by a natural marine habitat. Instead of a traditional trail ride, you’ll experience the coastline from the water, with the possibility of spotting dolphins, manatees, stingrays, and other local wildlife along the way. The guides also share insight into the horses and the surrounding environment, making the experience feel more personal and connected to the area rather than simply being a scenic ride.

What could be better than a Sunset Trail Ride at Lake Louisa State Park? A sunset trail ride with champagne and charcuterie! Enjoy beautiful sunsets and evening wildlife during the magical golden hours. This ride is family-friendly, and safely led by two experienced and friendly wranglers. No previous riding experience is required. Rides will follow a special route, and arrive back to the barn roughly 30 minutes before sunset. While the wranglers put the horses to bed, guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne (must be 21 or older with valid ID) or sparkling cider, charcuterie board, and roasting s'mores over a campfire. Required arrival times are 30 minutes BEFORE the start of the ride. Start times are strictly enforced to ensure the ride is safely back at the barn before sundown.
