If you are looking for a hike combining one of the three options: beach, wine or olive oil tasting, this is the perfect tour for you! Imbros gorge is located south of Lefka Ori mountains and take around 3 hours to cross. The hike starts from Imbros village. We will drop you off at the entrance, then pick you up at the end. Our driver will not hike with you. Its around 2 hours driving each way. Most of the hike is in the shade with a narrow trail that cannot be lost. It's good to have a sufficient supply of water and hat. Imbros gorge is a small version of Samaria gorge. The scenery is breathtaking, ideal for nature lovers and wildlife watchers. We believe its the best hike for children from 10 years old and half the size of demanding Samaria gorge. After Imbros we could visit Frangokastello beach or do a wine or olive oil tour/tasting for an hour. You can choose one option. Tastings and lunch are around 20 euro per person each and paid separately. November to March no tastings.

After a short while, we make a stop at Kourtaliotiko Gorge, a gorge of impeccable beauty, being used for the evacuation of the troops during the battle. Our historian tour guide explains hidden aspects of the Battle of Crete and WW2 in Greece. After a while, we reach our main goal the Monastery of Preveli and the Palm Grove of Preveli which was used as an evacuating spot for the Allies during WW2. We make our way towards the artefacts of the monastery, and we understand its strategic spot, as well as learn about unknown myths and traditions of the Battle of Crete. We continue having a lunch break in a tavern that treats us with traditional Cretan specialities and delicacies, before reaching the Australian War Memorial in the city of Rethymno, and the HILL A crucial to the Battle of Crete on Rethymno side.

Knossos is the heart of the Minoan civilization, the first civilization in Europe dating from 3000BC. I will transfer you from Chania to Knossos at Heraklio with 1-2 stops for 2-2,5 hours. Depending on your interest we can visit either an oil factory or Armeni Minoan cemetery near Rethymno. Will visit Knossos for more than an hour, then drive to the archaeological museum and spend another hour inside. We will have lunch for an hour and then drive back to Chania for 2-2,5 hours. This is private transfer only. If you wish a guide inside Knossos it will be 200 euro more. please message us for such request. We will provide the driving and talk about Cretan history, culture, traditions and life. Entrance fee for Knossos archaeological site and the museum are paid separately by guests.
