Great tour of midieval villages
Laurence gave us a great tour of four medieval villages. She provide insight into the history of the towns and her experience as a French woman.. she spoke good English and made sure we knew the key sights to see.

Do it!!!
Laurence is a fantastic guide and we thoroughly loved our day with her. You will not regret booking this tour!!! Good opportunities for shopping, especially for perfume and eating and we saw 4 incredible villages. If you’ve never been to these towns you simply must go and this is the way to do it!!! I don’t want to say more so as not to ruin it but if you love beautiful things and places this is the tour for you.

Traveling through time
Our guide Nabil (a former teacher of history) was not only very knowledgeable about the history of the region but was an excellent driver as well. The villages were all very different. The perfume factory in Grasse was a treat. I now know why perfume can be so expensive! My favorite village was probably St Paul and walking the ramparts. The most stunning view was from Gourdon. A wonderful day!

Wonderful tour of the countryside
We had a fabulous day! Laurence was a wonderful guide and so informative. I loved the way we got an overview of each place then left on our own to explore. The amount of time at each location was perfect. The day just flew by! I’m so glad we took the opportunity to see the countryside while in Nice!

Gourdon
  • If visiting Gourdon, come prepared with cash; the village boasts numerous souvenir shops and artisans selling perfumes, handmade goods, and local treats.
  • Don’t forget your hat and sunscreen; given its exposed, hilltop position, Gourdon experiences strong, direct sunlight during the summer months.
  • Be sure to bring your camera, as Gourdon’s views encompass 50 miles (80 kilometers) of the French Riviera.
  • Though parts of the village are hilly and uneven, Gourdon is mostly paved throughout, and wheelchair-accessible.
