After the arrival, you will go together with the ranger to the observatory where quietly we will wait to start to see the bears. There's around a 90% chance of seeing the enormous animals, and you may be lucky enough to observe everything from large males to mothers playing with their cubs. Besides the bears, we can have the chance to see other wildlife such as boar, roe and red deer, and the game birds are known to live here. Please note: Please wear comfortable shoes, we will need to go from the car to the observatory by walking.

The basalt mining stopped in the 1960s, when the site was declared a natural monument.
