Ciudad Perdida (Lost City) is the archaeological territory of an ancient Tayrona city located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta whose construction is attributed to the year 800 A.D. many years before Machu Picchu. The Tayrona paradise is made up of a series of terraces dug into the mountainside formed by a network of tiled roads and small circular squares.
