On this remarkable wine tour you will taste the phenomenal difference’s between both Burgundian and the Baden-Württemberg Pinot Noir clones. Our first winery will be with the regions outstanding producer of Pinot Noir. His Spätburgunder wines regularly out-perform those of Burgundy, Oregon and others from around the world. We will taste several varietals including, Weissburgunder, Gutedel, Grauburgunder, Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah. Located in the heart of the Achkarren dwells one of the most renowned family wineries. This winery will furnish us with an insight into both traditional and contempory wine-making practices. Finally we will head back down through the Kaiserstuhl vineyards which pepper the graceful terraces of this majestic dormant volcano and to our final winery of the day.

About 2h 45min from Frankfurt we will cross the German border into Alsace for a grape day out along the Alsace wine route. Alsace is a charming and humbling wine region loaded with history and its own unique cooler climate wine and rustic cuisine. The wine route passes through charming, quaint -fairytale, fortified villages and rolling vineyards set against a back drop of the Vosges mountains speckled with castle ruins. 'Trust me' to take you beyond the busier, tourist packed cities of Strasbourg and Colmar on a grape escape to discover some of the smaller, charming medieval villages like Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Obernai, or Barr visiting 2-3 independent wineries for more personal wine tastings. We will also stop for lunch a local brasserie cooking regional delights like Charcuterie and Tarte Flammbe. There’s a lot to see in Alsace, so leave the itinerary to an expert with this private wine tour from Basel. After just a few kilometers we reach the Tauber Gießen nature reserve, the last remaining natural floodplain area on the Upper Rhine and enjoy the view of the many enchanted arms of water. Then it's off to the Kappel-Rhinau ferry and we're over there with our neighbors. The first off-road kilometers await us here. But it really starts in the Vosges, where we take on lonely forest roads and dirt roads that lead us to grandiose excursion points. After about two hours we take a break in a lonely forest hut. Here is also driver change. After several more off-road kilometers, the Alsatian Wine Route with its pretty wine villages takes us back towards Germany.

We will open your eyes to the secrets and treasures of the beautiful medieval Council city and introduce you to personalities who have been involved here. During your tour you can enjoy delicious, selected Lake Constance wines in beautiful places with a view of Lake Constance and in the middle of Konstanz's old town. Bread and mineral water are also served. Our guide and wine ambassador will tell you what makes Lake Constance wines so special. Experience an exciting day in the heart of the Palatinate with top wines, the traces of the Romans and the largest wine barrel in the world – promising, active and enjoyable. Your day starts directly on site in Bad Dürkheim or at one of the pick-up locations. We start in a small group at the giant barrel. Then we breathe the healing sea breeze in one of the longest outdoor inhalers in Germany. Continue through the spa park into the city center to the Römerbrunnen. After a lunch break for free design, we embark on an approximately two-hour hike through the vineyards. Along the almond trees we taste two top wines from an award-winning local top winemaker. Afterwards we hike on a short path to the historic quarry "Kriemhildenstuhl" with its ancient Roman inscriptions. To top it off, we hike to the flag tower. A hearty Palatinate snack and an exclusive tasting of two organic wines from a renowned winery await you there.
