The tasting begins at the cellar, followed by the screening of an explanatory video on the production of Alsace wines (suitable for children). Then we will visit the cellar, its wooden barrels more than a hundred years old and you will discover our family history through a scenographic space with immersive video at 180° projected on barrels: unique in France. Presentation of the barrel of the 1900 Universal Exhibition. Then we continue the tasting in our tea room area around a "gourmet wine": several glasses in harmony with sweet and savory delicacies: cheese, cold cuts, and various sweets You can also not register the children and they will choose a snack on site! Baden-Württemberg not only produces the finest Pinot Noir’s but also revels in other varietals such as Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, Muskateller, Gutedel and Chardonnay. On this remarkable wine tour you will taste the phenomenal difference’s between both Burgundian and the Baden-Württemberg Pinot Noir clones. Our first winery will be with the regions outstanding producer of Pinot Noir. His Spätburgunder wines regularly out-perform those of Burgundy, Oregon and others from around the world. We will taste several varietals including, Weissburgunder, Gutedel, Grauburgunder, Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah. Located in the heart of the Achkarren dwells one of the most renowned family wineries. This winery will furnish us with an insight into both traditional and contempory wine-making practices. Finally we will head back down through the Kaiserstuhl vineyards which pepper the graceful terraces of this majestic dormant volcano and to our final winery of the day.
