Mili and Fran were the perfect guides to us. They gave us a lot of informations about the different spots and sights, but also gave us enough space and tim to enjoy ourselves and the different places. We had a great day in, on and at the water. We recommend this trip to everyone who enjoys a ride with a fast boat, snorkeling, chilling at beaches. The groupe of 12 people was perfect - not too private and not too anonymos. Thanks for everything!

Overall a very good trip to be able to see so many places on one trip with plenty of time on each stop. I understand why we needed to pay the extra Euro 30 each to pay for the moorings of the boat. Marin our skipper was great. He explained the sites and history clearly and was to the point and didn’t talk too much. Our trip was a calm sea but the strong current around the ship wreck made it hard to swim back to the boat. But we all made it back!! Life jackets available if needed. The other stops were an experience. The beautiful beaches and delicious lunch at the restaurant we stopped at. The quaint village Bozava we stopped at the end was lovely. Another ice cream and drink stop! The group was small which made it relaxing. A really good value trip.

If you'd like to enjoy a day's worth of great spots on the Zadar islands, zipping from one to the other on a speedboat, and having time to enjoy each, this is the trip for you. We loved it. Super friendly crew, tasty snacks, water and beer. Max time at the stops, exciting high speed travel. But....if what you want a leisurely boat tour, this isn't it.

What a wonderful and fun experience!! You will spend a day with an incredible group of people and it will be unforgettable. I would redo this tour without thinking, if nothing but for an opportunity to swim in the most pristine waters of the Adriatic Sea. Eva I Mauro, hvala od srca vama i čitavoj ekipi.

This boat trip, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. While our guide Eva was friendly and welcoming, the overall experience was disappointing.
The captain drove the boat at an alarmingly high speed, forcing everyone to hold onto their bags and the boat’s handles for dear life. They should have had a locker or container to store our bags. Had I not had an attachment cord, I might have lost my bag, plus the floor was getting super wet. The lack of basic safety measures was concerning, with no life vests provided and no information provided on how to handle motion or sea sickness in case anyone is experiencing it. 🤢
To make matters worse, the snack provided contained peanuts 🥜, a common allergen, which was very careless. Thankfully, no one in our group was allergic, but it could have been a serious issue causing someone to have an anaphylactic reaction. 😱
The trip included a stop at Restaurant Mimo, which turned out to be another letdown. The menu listed ‘shrimp’, but what was served was actually langoustine. I had to send my plate back due to the inaccurate description as I expected a shrimp/prawn texture; I kept on insisting that it tasted like overcooked shrimp/lobster, but the waiter said it was normal (?). Anyway, I think it was simply wrongly translated. The replacement plate ‘tagliatelle al tartufo’ I ordered was of mediocre quality, and to top it off, the restaurant only accepted cash, which was inconvenient. Wish I had simply packed a sandwich instead of eating at that restaurant.
Lastly, the morning check-in instructions were unclear. There was no mention of arriving a few minutes early, yet I received a call around 8.50am asking if I was nearby even though the meeting time was clearly stated as 9 AM. Also, the promotional picture displayed with the guy resting in a cave is misleading; we didn’t even go there 😬
While the cave and shipwreck were interesting, the overall experience was marred by these issues. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously to improve future trips.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
We want to sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations during our trip, our commitment to customer satisfaction and high industry standards means every customer`s comment is taken into consideration for future policy changes and improvements.
We want to emphasize that on Viator's website, we clearly highlight the type of vessel we use for our tours precisely to avoid possible ambiguities.
Furthermore, our highly experienced skippers always adjust their speed to the weather conditions and never put our passengers at risk because safety is our number one priority and we never sail without lifejackets on board, which are stored in the appropriate compartments. Also, guests who feel unsafe are always given lifejackets, if asked in advance.
We are sorry that you did not communicate your doubts during the tour because we always emphasize that the guide and skipper are at your service and can help you anytime.
We can confirm that you have visited the Golubinka cave, which is in our promotional pictures because that cave is the only part of Dugi Otok route, which we visit every day with many of our satisfied guests.
Depending on the time of day, specific quality of daylight, and other weather factors, sometimes the lighting in the cave is not the same as seen in the pictures; we are sorry that we cannot impact these circumstances in any way.
Furthermore, when booking our tours, the meeting time is indicated 30 minutes before departure to avoid possible delays so that our guests can enjoy the beauty of the Zadar archipelago for the full duration of the tour. On the same page, you can also find that we advise our guests to bring some cash, as some places on our route are cash-only.
Thank you for your feedback, we will use it to improve future services.

My friend and I had an incredible experience on the speedboat tour in Zadar! The breathtaking views of the coastline, the crystal-clear waters, and the thrill of the ride made for an unforgettable adventure. Eva, our guide, and Dom, our skipper, made the experience even better with their friendliness - ensuring our safety and fun throughout the trip.
Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Zadar from the sea!

This was a really great boat tour! The smaller tour size meant that the speedboat we took moved fast between stops, which allowed for plenty of time to snorkel/swim and take in the sights.
The highlights of the trip were definitely the first couple of stops which were snorkeling at the sunken ship, exploration of the Golubinka Sea Cave (the entrance is so narrow you have to swim inside), and the swimming stop at the gorgeous Veli Žal sandy beach. This is followed by an extended stop at Sakarun beach, which is not as nice as the aforementioned Veli Žal sandy beach but does have a cafe where you can relax in the shade with a cold drink. The next stop at Restoran Momi provided an opportunity to have an excellent, filling meal by the sea. The final two stops were a quick boat ride into an old military naval base and a half hour stop in the small island town of Božava.
Overall, I liked that the variety of stops provided by this tour as well as the speediness of the travel between stops. Many thanks to the Zadar Archipelago team!

It was really adventurous day! Those who are addicted to swimming in good spots will not be disappointed. Time to be spent on each spot is enough. This trip is a great chance to taste Croatian sea coast! Ride on speedboat is exciting experience, a lot of fun! Thanks to Archipelago for arrangement, tour guides are cool guys!
Response from Host, Sep 2023
Dear Anita thank you for the time taken to write such an excellent review, Your words encourage us to continue doing what we do best, showing you the hidden gems of Croatia coast
Roko_P, Jul 2023
This is the first negative review I have ever left. I just want to warn people about the tour company running this operation. My wife and I showed up with 3 children and my father. We were told seas would be a little rougher that day and we will have a slightly different route and not to worry. No big deal they said. We boarded and headed out to tour the islands off of Zadar, within the first 30 minutes the waves started getting unbearably unsafe and we nearly flipped. We stopped at two different stops that involved mile long walks to beaches which were not on the original itinerary. The waves got so rough and dangerous we were the only boats on the Adriatic. I feared for the safety of my family and the kids are forever traumatized. In no way should we have left the port that morning. The skipper tried to make the best of the situation, but was constantly shocked at the conditions and taking photos of the waves etc. The tour company should have called the trip off, they were too money hungry to stop it. We attempted to ask for a partial refund and they said no way. Good luck, pray for a calm day.
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Dear Sir, we are sorry that you had the unpleasant experience but we must set the records straight, we do not navigate under unsafe conditions, your statement that there were no other boats in Adriatic that day is clearly wrong. It was a summer day in Adriatic winds in range of 12-18 knots which anyone who has any experience on the sea will, tell you is not much to write home about, we go with winds higher than that regularly. Boat was not on verge of flipping over or anything like that. Since it was southerly wind, it is unsafe to dock on Sakarun beach therefore we took you to alternative landing site which is protected from southerly winds, so as you see we think about your safety while disembarking. From there you were accompanied to Sakarun beach by our guide. All this was said before departure that day we won't venture out on open sea but stay inside so you can visit the sea wreck and beach in completely calm waters. I understand that since you don't have experience of navigation wawes of 1 m seem overwhelming but our message to everybody is that we go out only when it is completely safe and always have your safety as first priority. I was a bit hesitant at the onset to see the seating configration, but I sucked it up and thought I should enjoy this ride. We had to saddle up onto our seats, you see, and I am more of a luxury sailboat type of person, but it was actually fun! There were bumpy portions of the trip which took me back to my younger years of rollercoaster rides in the US.
We were just the right number of travelers and we had an amazing crew - both the sweet guide and skipper - were fantastic. They were professional and ensured to keep the group in mind, she counted the passengers after every stop and they were very nurturing to those of us that may have needed a lending hand to walk through the rocky terrain of this beautiful country. I wish I took their names down, to give them the appropriate kudos, but they were truly amazing. The provider was Archipelago Zadar and let me tell you that the sign-in process was very efficient, the office staff was professional, amiable and very patient (I saw them sweat over lost guests that were clueless on where the office were -- hello Mr. Magoo, look!)
The itinerary is as advertised, the lunch restaurant they recommended for us to enjoy fresh fish was spot on with a lovely view of their amazing lighthouse. Both the sweet lady and skipper were patient when some of us were late (not me, am always on time!). Overall such a wonderful experience to enjoy and soak up the beauty of this Adriatic sea islands of a treasure (yes there was the treasure dive by the sunken ship swim stop!).
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Dear Anna thank you for the time taken to write such an extensive review, the whole crew here was happy to read such a review that shows that we do our job right, this is a message for anyone out there who thinks of going on tour with us -we have a young but experienced crew here who will take care of you and show you places that you can't visit otherwise.

Amazing. I would do it again. Boat was small and has small seats overall it was great and would do it again
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Dear Boris, we are glad to hear that you had an amazing experience! It sounds like you enjoyed your time with us hope to see you again
Ana_G, Jun 2023
The most amazing day out I had in Zadar. We saw the most beautiful, wonderful and fascinating places. Katherine (the archeologist student) was the most legendary guide. She was so kind, fun, joyful, helpful and informative. Her passion for the ocean, for nature and tour guiding, was so genuine and warm. She's an absolute legend!
The speedboat is comfortable (but heads up, you have to sit as though you are sitting on a horse) and the beverages and tunes kept coming. Fruit salads were provided which were refreshing after hours spent in the salty water and strong sun (no shade on the boat). Pretzels also provided but they didn't sit well - too salty and dry. I recommend you bring a couple of extra snacks in your bag.
The restaurant we went to was very nice, and I highly recommend the black rissoto 👌
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Dear Ana, Thank you for your kind words hope you will recommend us to your friends so they can also enjoy the beauties of Zadar Archipelago Islands, it is precisely because of experiences like yours that we do this business with passion and joy that you experienced from our crew

Jessica_D, Jun 2023
A lovely day out. The boat was a little tiny and tricky to move around, but buzzed around everywhere really fast. The places we went were stunning. The big thing that I didn’t like, was they didn’t take life jackets on board. A non swimmer asked for one, turned out they didn’t have them on board. To be fair, they immediately turned round to get them, however, only brought around 7 and there were over 12 on board. Everything else was great though, wasn’t going to mention this in a review, but it’s a pretty big issue. So just do check they are on board before you leave harbour. Only a 3 star because of small boat and the life jacket issue. But a lovely tour, great guides x
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Dear Jessica, thank you for your review, the issue with the lifejackets is resolved, it was the first trip with that boat in the season and we assure you that everything on the boat is up to code, boats are small for the reason - it they were any bigger we could not visit all those wonderful spots on Dugi Otok. Thank you again for the review Zadar Archipelago Team

esther_g, Aug 2022
The intinerary is pretty cool, as you can visit 7 stops in one day, but the tour is on a fast boat, that due to the speed is jumping on the sea for the main part of the travel, also you sit like on a horse, which is very uncomfortable and under the sun, as there is no shadow, just for the captain which is quite crazy with the high uv and sun in croatia and the 10 hours journey....i wouldnt recomend this trip unless you dont care about all this things....definetly not for everyone.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Dear esther_g,
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you liked the itinerary of Dugi Otok Boat tour.
We are sorry to hear that you didn't like the seating arrangement and level of comfort that was provided, sadly we cannot influence the sea and the waves.
For any future travelers, as stated on the product and photos of the tour, yes the tour is held on the speedboat with jockey seating. The rides between stops on the island, are 10-20minutes long and you will visit 7 spots on this tour where there is plenty of shade, of course we definitely recommend Spf cream.
Kind regards,
Zadar Archipelago Team

Fantastic day spent touring islands, snorkelling on a wreck, visiting Veli Rat Lighthouse. It felt very safe, even as we zoomed by speedboat across the Adriatic. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. They even bought my daughter a gift as it was her birthday.
Beautiful beaches of Dugi Otok (Sakarun) and Emerald lagoons all visited on a 12 man rig, My teenagers said it was the highlight of their holiday. You need to be able bodied as there is a lot of climbing on and off the boat from land and in the water. Remember your sunscreen as there is no shade on the boat at all but the breeze was lovely.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Dear Victoria_B,
We are happy to hear that you loved your Boat tour to Dugi Otok and that your family enjoyed the trip as well.
We are hoping little miss enjoyed her birthday touring the island, and we are glad to hear that our crew did a good job.

We only had a few days to explore the area so we chose this tour because of the wide array of places they stopped at! The boat is pretty small but we didn’t mind because we were off the boat so much exploring different areas. We snorkeled at a sunken ship, swam into a cave, jumped off a cliff, swam around in beautiful blue water, hung out at a beach, went to a beautiful restaurant over looking the ocean and finally stopped at a small island to walk around, take a dip at the beach and they had the option to get a snack or gelato. We thought the skipper was an amazing boat driver and made the trip a smooth ride. We also loved the tour guide Christina she was very informative, funny and accommodating!

The boat is very uncomfortable, it's fully opened and travels very fast which is fun for a short time but for a full day kind of blows your brain out. Plus, you need to ride your seat as you would sit on a horse and it is very uncomfortable and bumpy. It is very small with very little place to change or move for that matter. The places you visit are interesting (sunk ship, cave, beaches, restaurant, military tunnel, village) and they keep their word on snacks and beverages, however the entire excursion is so expensive. All costs are disclosed at the beginning but value for money is quite low from my point of view.
Response from Host, Jul 2022
Dear Anca_R,
Thank you for your review we appreciate your feedback. We are glad to hear that you liked stops on your Dugi Otok Boat tour & that you find them interesting. However, we are sorry to hear our Speedboat wasn’t according to your preferences.
For all future travelers, as stated in the description and in the pictures, our group tours are held on a speedboat, which indeed has jockey seating. Boats are specially designed for fast & safe cruising on the Adriatic Sea, so that way you can spend more time exploring the spots & less time driving.
Best Regards,
Zadar Archipelago Team

It was all very well organized. We saw some beautifull places and got a lot of good information! The only thing we found a bit dissapointed where the snorkeling spots. We had one sinking ship and one cave, but a spot with some corals and some fishes would also be nice.
lukejenner163, Jul 2019
We really enjoyed the trip from start to finish and the tour guide and skipper were friendly, informative and accommodating. The tour allows you to see some serene places which would be impossible otherwise, especially in one day. You have the time to ask questions and learn about the locations. I felt a few of the stops could've been managed differently, e.g. by giving us some options for how we would see the place, and I would've liked a bit more time for swimming around the boat. I also felt the final price should include everything i.e. all taxes, berthing costs, as it would be good to get a breakdown of all these costs as it just seemed like a random add on which took it from affordable to pretty expensive. Still, a worthwhile holiday splurge for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
