Snowmobile Tour - Great but Shorter than Advertised

Michelle_P, Mar 2026
This is NOT a 2 hour tour. The trip and guide were great but it’s advertised for 2 hours and it’s only 90 minutes which is a big difference for the $’s. So amazing scenery, cool trails and equipment is solid just don’t think you’re getting anywhere near a 2 hour tour. I’d recommend only if you understand you’re not paying for a 2 hour ride.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thanks so much for your feedback! We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the scenery, trails, and your time with the guide. We understand your concern regarding the duration. Our tour is advertised as a 2-hour experience, which includes check-in, safety briefing, gearing up, and the ride time itself. The actual time spent riding is typically around 80-90 minutes, depending on group pace and conditions on the day. We appreciate you pointing this out and will continue working to ensure this is communicated as clearly as possible so guests know exactly what to expect. Thanks again for joining us—we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future!

Whistler Beauty from the Snowmobile View

Amanda_D, Mar 2026
This is truly a laid back experience to soak in your surroundings in Whistler. Don't expect to be going fast or for it to feel "adventurous". It was fun for my 77 year old dad and daughter and I to ride along and enjoy the views. The warm up stations and breaks produced some amazing photos which were reasonably priced in packages. I would definitely recommend it to folks who are looking for another activity off the mountain. It is is suitable for a lot of ages.

Great time- beautiful views!!

Riding the white wilderness..

Andrea_P, Jan 2026
Snowmobiling around the Blackcomb wilderness was more fun than expected. Snowy paths are well-maintained, making any first-time rider feel comfortable handling a snowmobile. The learning curve is nothing out of the ordinary. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. THE SCENERY IS GORGEOUS! They will make stops for you to enjoy the view. Our instructor was sweet and patient, especially with my heavy thumb! 😌 I highly recommend making this experience a part of your life.

Excellent. The trail was spectacular and the views were amazing. Ryan was our guide and took very good care of us. He rotated the order of us so we had a chance to go faster. He took great photos of us. Great service. I highly recommend it.

Eden, our guide, was AWESOME!!! All the staff were great and super friendly. The tour itself was amazing and Eden took her time to make sure we were all comfortable. They way she explained things and stopped to give us a heads up about the “oopsie daisy” turn eased a lot of our tensions. We will definitely return.

The snowmobile and guide...

Victor_D, Mar 2025
The snowmobile and guide operation was very professionally done. We had Vince as our guide and he was awesome. It was my wife and I and our two friends on a total of two snowmobile. Vince was very knowledgeable on the snowmobile and had great instructions on how to drive the snowmobile and safety conditions. He was cautious at first but when he knew we could handle the snowmobile he let us open it up. Great trip and he took a lot of pictures of us. Would definitely recommend.

Eden is the best guide!

Thelma_A, Feb 2025
We were so lucky to have fresh snow, a gorgeous day, and Eden as our guide. She was attentive and made the whole group feel welcome and cared for. We only needed helmets but they had a trailer full of gear like gloves etc if you didn’t come prepared. Had a great time

Wilderness Adventure Experience

Daryl_G, Jan 2025
I was not happy when we checked in that we were asked to pay an additional $250.00 to cover taxes and insurance, We were not notified this when we booked our excursion online. This is the 3rd whistler snowmobile excursion we have booked and our 1st with this company . We did book a snowmobile excursion with Wilderness Adventure last year but due to the lack of snow we had to change to an ATV excursion instead. This time their was snow . This experience was good but not the best we have done. They had snow gear and safety gear for loan , the other company we dealt with was in better condition and better selection but it was good enough to make due. We were expecting more than just a single file ride that was paced by a timid rider. I guess we were spoiled by the other company , at the halfway point the other company took us to a large open area (Frozen lake) and allowed us to play around on our own based on our comfort levels, Wilderness Adventures does not allow that. Although the people like the guide were friendly , we found the value and experience with the other company more enjoyable so we will not be using Wilderness Adventure for future excursions.

Response from Host, Jan 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly appreciate you giving us a try during your recent visit to Whistler. I’d like to address a few points from your review to offer some clarity. First, when booking through third-party sites, please be aware that those platforms often don't include all of the fees and taxes that we require. These additional charges, including taxes and insurance, are collected upon arrival, and we do our best to make sure all charges are transparent when booking directly with us. Regarding the wilderness tour, it's important to note that our tours are group-based, and we prioritize safety above all else. This means we pace the tour based on the ability of the group, and in some cases, it may feel a little slower for those with more experience. We understand that the pace might not have been what you were expecting, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Unfortunately, Whistler has not received snow in over two weeks, which has affected our access to some of the frozen lakes and alpine areas. The lack of snow has restricted our terrain options, but we still work hard to provide an experience that’s as enjoyable as possible given the conditions. If you're looking for a more customized experience based on your ability level, I would highly recommend joining us later in February or March, where we can offer a private tour that allows us to adjust the pace and experience to your preference. We’re really happy to hear you still had a good time with us, and we appreciate your feedback. If you decide to visit again, we'd love to provide you with a more tailored experience!

Great snowmobiling experience

Arjun_B, Jan 2025
We had a great experience in the Snowmobile tour. Our tour guide was very informative and gave us very detailed instructions on how to operate. The backcountry scenery was beautiful and we stopped at some wonderful sights along the way. The stop at the hut with cookies and warm cider enhanced the experience. Luckily it had snowed a few days before so it was relatively soft snow so we had a smoother ride. One caveat - this tour is geared towards people with limited to no snowmobiling experience, so if you are already comfortable with snowmobiles this might feel boring to you

It is fun if you are a first timer, the ride is fun and the cookie and cider in the mid-trip in the globe was surprisingly fun.
