Itinerary

Make your way to the Carlton Lodge in Whistler Village, arriving at a meeting point 30 minutes prior to departure.

Leave Whistler Village for Callaghan Valley, a 20- to 25-minute trip to the south. Upon arrival, you’ll be fitted with a full-face helmet and goggles, as well as boots and cold-weather gear as needed.

Start with a short training session on how to handle a snowmobile—a guide will also be on hand throughout the day, and you’ll be exploring terrain that’s a good fit for beginning riders. Set out along a snowmobile trail through the Callaghan Valley, watching for wildlife as you ride through the forest, which opens up to great views across the valley.

Your turnaround point is the NorthAir gold mine, where tons of gold was extracted from the earth before the mine closed down in the 1980s. After some time to see the abandoned site, begin the return trip to the trailhead for return transfer to Whistler Village.

So much fun! We were lucky that there was so much fresh snow just in time for the tour. Andy our guide was great, explained everything well and super patient with everyone in the group, making sure everyone was comfortable before heading off on the snowmobiles. The scenery was stunning and unforgettable memories made.

Go do this trip.

If you don't have the proper clothing for the cold and snow, it doesn't matter, they will lend you all you need, including snow pants and boots.

Driving through the alpine trees where the snow was piled high on the branches and the blue sky in the background. Also, Georgia was an amazing guide who let us cut loose on the frozen lake !! But don't tell anybody...

This was the highlight of our USA/Canada trip. Our guide was so good and made it so fun. Maybe because he was Australian like us and had the same since of humour. Needless to say I would recommend this tour as you see things on top of a snow filled mountain you just don't see everyday. A must while in Whistler!!

Viator no reserva lo que se promete

Jose_M, Dec 2024
Al llegar el operador final nos dice que la reserva está mal, aunque se pago por dos adultos en la página de viator al final se pago uno extra en destino pese que el voucher especifica que la reserva es para dos adultos.

Response from Host, Dec 2024

Thank you for expressing your frustration. Unfortunately your original booking was for 1 Adult/1 Child sharing a machine (child rides free). Our team explained the error at check in and gave you the option to share a machine or go as two single riders and yes, there was a difference in price. If you have any further questions or concerns you can reach out to me directly at sales@canadianwilderness.com.
