Most uncomfortable ride ever!

That was the most uncomfortable ride ever. First, I didn’t get communicated to as to where to meet. I had to call and then get a call back where she told me just to look at my text, because she did not speak English very well. The car was way too small for three people and three bags of luggage. My husband had to put it in the car as she did not even try to help. I wanted my husband to sit in the front but she told me sit in the front cause there wasn’t enough legroom. There was a wire running across my legs and I felt like I couldn’t even move or I would’ve disconnected her Lyft sign.. She was going 70 miles an hour in a 55 and almost hit another car. You can do better!

Driver never booked/blamed Viator.

Booked via Tripadvisor link/rec about 8hrs prior to arrival. No email updates/instructions on arrival so contacted the contracted vendor through viator. Contractor blamed technical difficulties and said find another ride, up to us to request a refund through viator. Awaiting refund, took an Uber.

Do not book this tour if you are arriving from the UK. It took my wife and I 2 hours 15 minutes to pass through Customs. Apparently this is normal. When you arrive there are several flights arriving at the same time but for international travellers there is only one or two custom officers processing the passengers. While in the incredible long queue I was in contact with the Viator taxi service explaining the horrendous situation and even shared photos of the chaos. Eventually we cleared boarder control, collected our luggage and went outside. TO OUR HORROR, the taxi driver had left and we were stranded to fend for ourselves. Even when we contacted Viator at the airport, the response was effectively” tough’”

Our driver cancelled on us; he claimed we were late coming out. We then had to take a private taxi that cost $100, which for us, as South African travellers, is a lot of money. I did try to contact the driver, he answered after much ado, and could barely speak English. I will not use Viator again for transfers while travelling.

No better than a taxi

I booked this as it was advertised as having a meet and greet in the airport and comfortable ride to my destination. I had 4 heavy bags and needed help with them. Instead, this was no better than a taxi. The guy wanted me to meet him at the uber pickup spot outside and didn’t come inside the arrivals hall. The car was just like any normal car (Honda civic) and he just dropped me outside my destination. I would’ve been better off taking an uber or taxi for less money.

The tour was exceptional because the driver was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. I heard other tour guides while we were walking at the various monuments and no one else delivered the passion and enthusiasm that our guide delivered. Outstanding!!!
