We initially booked the tour for another day but Vytas, the pilot, told us the conditions were better the following day so we listened to him and went the next day. It was a very good decision. The experience was very cool helping him set up the balloon and after that slowly climbing. The flight was full of jokes and fun but also interesting information about the surroundings from our wonderful pilot Vytas. It was truly the best activity from our trip in Lithuania and it made our vacation even better!!!
At the end he told us it s tradition to drink champagne when we landed safely so we all had a glass. We also received certificates to remember this wonderful day!
We want to thank the whole team especially Vytas for this unforgettable experience!!!

1. Was a long trip from hotel in Vilnius to Trakai. The ONLY negative.
2. When I saw them pull the basket and balloon out of the trailer, I thought what did I get myself into. Was expecting to arrive to a balloon ready to go.
3. Watched them assemble the basket/hot air blower and inflate the balloon and almost couldn't believe it. Quickly and professionally. Eased my mind, real pros.
4. Climbing into the basket was an adventure for me, I was the first to go. But made it in.
5. Lifting off the ground was a little nerve wracking for me. But once in the air.....Incredible.
6. Being a third through October, it was very cold. I wish I brought warmer clothes.
7. The views from above were spectacular. The pilot was excellent. And while the basket was a little cramped, the people I met were friendly and I didn't mind the close quarters at all.
I couldn't be happier I had this adventure.
8. The landing was a bit rough. But not too bad. And once back on the ground and out of the basket, as first time hot air balloon flyers us all we were all offered a glass of champagne for landing safely as such and given a certificate stating we accomplished this first flight safely. A nice touch. I of course enjoyed my glass. I believe everybody did.
9. Would I do it again or recommend it to someone? Absolutely. Only wish in warmer weather, and the time in the air was longer.

The pilot picked us up on time, and was very friendly. He spoke excellent English and was quite funny. He kept us informed on what was going on while waiting to inflate the balloon, and was happy to answer questions during the flight. We loved the whole thing.

It's a five star experience and pilots Kestas and the guys are so kind and friendly and professional! The views of the lake and castle are stunning and we got through the cloud until we were high above it, it's very unique experience and I would recommend it to everyone!
We did it on Christmas day so it's like the best Christmas present we ever had!

The hot air balloon ride over Trakai castle was amazing. The views were spectacular! The pilot was excellent. Both brothers were very knowledgeable and experts in flying hot air balloons. The balloon ride was gentle and landing absolutely fine. I enjoyed the experience tremendously and ticked this activity from my bucket list. I highly recommend this activity.

This is a definite must for anyone visiting Vilnius. It was my first visit to the city and had booked this in advance. It is obviously weather dependent but when the conditions are perfect, it's an awesome experience. Albertas kept us informed of weather conditions, meeting places and times. The flight took us in an easterly direction from Vingis Park over Vilnius, the old town and into the countryside. It was a calm flight, the pilot gave us information about the locations we flew over and overall, was a breathtaking experience from take-off to landing. After we'd landed, champagne was handed out as were certificates and we were driven back to Vilnius city centre.

The captains of the air balloon were very capable. This trip is a trip not to miss in Vilnius. I have scuba dived, hiked the Inca Trail into Machu Picchu, hot air ballooned over the Masa Mira and had other adventures. This trip will be a trip I will remember.

The flight over Trakai was just WONDERFUL!!! Magical, memorable and fun! The pilot Marius and all the helpers and crew were super nice and accommodating! Not to miss!!! Just a review for Viator: it is one hour tour, and it is only early mornings and sunset time (the person I booked with had no clue about that).
