Great way to combine transportation with sightseeing. Fresh, comfy and air conditioned van for 8 people picked us up and drove us safely there. Alex our driver was also a good guide. All the 3 stops was amazing, but really liked the Latvian Versailles. You then get dropped off in Riga city centre. Do this tour instead of flying or taking the train, you won't regret it.

I had a fantastic experience with this Viator tour! Everything was very well organized, and the guide and driver were incredibly friendly and informative. He picked me up on time in Vilnius, and our first stop was the Hill of Crosses. The selected stops along the way were great and allowed enough time to explore and enjoy each location. Highly recommended!

Best way to travel from Vilnius to Riga

Lily_L, Apr 2026
This is a great way to transport from Vilnius to Riga with three highlights along the way. The drive is mostly flat along farm lands and woods. Our guide says knowledgeable and very familiar with the route, he would point out the croisés erected by farmers and small communities as we pass them and explain the significance. The Hill of Crosses alone is worth the trip. It’s unassuming from the outside but poignant once inside. The Rundale Palace is worth the visit too especially if you like palace grandeur. This is the mini Versailles. The least overwhelming was Bauska Castle and fortress. It needs renovation, but the history is rich so just have to read about it and be imaginative. The tour dropped us off right by Riga’s Town Hall square, very convenient to keep sightseeing or grab food and drinks in the Old Town.

Hill of Crosses alone worth the trip.

Comfortable van, pleasant company for the ride, & nice to see the countryside. I was mostly interested in visiting the Hill of Crosses, so the other two stops were too extra for me, although the other participants seemed to like them.

Great sights with comfy transport!

Long day but three different interesting stops. The Hill of Crosses was over the top and the Rundale palace was also in a completely different way. Good driver and clean van.

Best value for must-see stops

Lenet_C, Jul 2025
Without having a car, this tour helped us continue moving in the direction we wanted to travel without missing out on seeing sights along the way. We would have missed out had we taken a train or plane and the stops were worth seeing.

Brilliant transfer idea from Vilnius to Riga

MariaZenaida_P, Jul 2025
This is a great way to see two Baltic capitals: Vilnius & Riga. Our driver/mini tour guide, Alex, brought us safely from Vilnius to Riga with stops to the Hill of Crosses & two castles. He gave basic & brief info for each of our stops before letting us go explore on our own.

Not to be missed. The Hill of Crosses alone makes this an amazing tour. Our guide, Adam, was hugely informative and entertaining.

Best way to get from city to city

Cheryl_A, Apr 2025
Adam was very personable and quite the historian. His knowledge of the areas we passed through, as well as personal stories, made it clear that he has a true personal interest in each of the areas. I would highly recommend this trip as a pleasant transition between Vilnius and Riga.

Great experience

FABIANA_B, Aug 2024
It was great, well organised, lovely driver, comfortable van. As there were some work roads, we had to shorten the medieval castle visit by 15min or so, which was enough to see it, but in a bit of a rush. The green area around and river were beautiful but did not had time to explore it. I recommend this tour if you want to save time and you plan to go to Riga or vice versa to Vilnius(they do both ways).

Enjoy the ride

Melyssa_P, Aug 2024
Nice ride very comfortable, driver competent and beautiful stops. Perfect amount of time to see the places.

Great experience

Juan_S, Aug 2024
A great and original way to do the transfer between both cities. We did our trip with Andrius, who made our trip very friendly and gave us the explainations and context of the different stops of the trip and both countries. I definitely recommend this service, as also the stops scheduled really worth the visit.

A tour to be remembered.

Have a good trip. I'm sorry I couldn't remember names. My sincere apologies. You're soon patient with me, (problem balancing & half blind). I enjoyed very much. I've learn & understand Lithuania much more. The restaurant DIA in Kauna, food, dessert & service are excellent. Very well cooked beef burger ( medium rare) & the chips were perfect. Crispy outside ans soft inside. Thank you a good meal to remember before I leave tomorrow. I hope to be able to bring my family here soon.

The best way to get from Lithuania to Latvia

Erik_V, Jul 2024
The best tour I’ve been on in all of the Baltic Countries it was absolutely perfect!! All of the stops were breathtaking and the amount of time that you had in each place was perfect!

Great way to travel between Vilnius and Riga

Great way to travel between Vilnius and Riga. Good tour information from the driver at the hill of crosses, palace and castle.

Great itinerary from Vilnius to Riga!

Khristine_G, Jun 2024
Thanks a lot to Andrei for patiently waiting for us and for expertly showing us around the Hill of Crosses and Rundale and Bauska palaces along the way to Riga, Latvia. He was also very informative. This tour is a Great and cheap way to travel from Vilnius to Riga while at the same time visiting the three wonderful places mentioned above.

Value for money - highly recommended

Lily_K, Jun 2024
Smooth journey from Vilnius to Riga with more than sufficient time at Hill of Crosses & Rundale Palace. Last stop at Bauskas was short but it was the least interesting, so no matter.

A perfect way to travel from Lithuania to Latvia

Michael_W, Jun 2024
This was a wonderful and enjoyable (and affordable) way to travel from Lithuania into Latvia. Adam was a fantastic guide, driver and spokesperson - he had many stories to tell all of us and he provided factual information about each historical site along the way. The timing at each location was great (Bauska castle was a little tight if you also wanted to climb to the top of the tower). There were also a rest stop as the journey is more than 3 hours without stopping. The van has plenty of room for luggage and 7 people. Thank you for a fantastic day's tour Adam.

Highly recommend!

Elizabeth_M, May 2024
I highly recommend this tour that not only takes you from Vilnius to Riga but has nice stops at the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace, and Bauska Castle. Rundale Palace was my favorite stop and we were fortunate to see the tulips in full bloom

Vilnius-Riga Sightseeing Tour

Raj_P, May 2024
It was a great trip despite the constant drizzle. We made 3 stops with some explanation given by the driver/guide. We had 2 cars going instead of one bus or van which I was expecting. Drivers were pleasant and they from a local provider called Experience Lithuania. Nice folks but could have been better with better weather and one van. There were 3 stops. The Riga Traveller tour has 5 stops.

Good transfer option from Vilnius to Riga

Ruth_C, May 2024
Highly recommended to take this trip. It’s a great way to transfer from Vilnius to Riga-cheaper than flying and you get to see 3 of the main tourist sites along the way. It’s mostly just a transfer service, but the driver did give some limited comments at each location before then leaving us to explore on our own.

Exactly as expected

Kerry_J, Apr 2024
The experience was exactly as promised. The driver was funny and patient, and the other two travelers were cool. The tour stops were short, but the sites were great and we made it to Riga in good time.

Good itinerary, terrible driver.

devintaylorshae, Oct 2023
I was looking forward to this transfer as it combined a few touristic spots as well that I wanted to see. It ended up just being myself and another woman for the transfer, so it was a car rather than a bus. You could tell right away our driver/guide (Andrew? Andross? Anders?) didn’t want to be there. He would ask us questions, we would answer, then he wouldn’t let us finish and talk about the next part of the tour. The woman I was with was late getting back from one of the stops. He didn’t give us a return time, only said AROUND 2 hours. She had gotten lost, apologized, yet he belittled and berated her with insults and calling her names. He was way over the line. He decided to use me as a reason for him flipping out on her, despite zero complaints or comments from me. The cherry on the cake was the next stop, he decided to give us no information at all, pointed to where the castle was, then threatened if we were not there right on time, he would leave us and we would have to find him later. He was an adult child throwing a tantrum. All this to say we were AHEAD of schedule. The tour would have been great, but the company appears to need to train its drivers (at least this one) on how to handle situations, customer service, and general human decency.

Abhorrent experience

CheukWing_H, Oct 2023
It was an abhorrent experience and I would not recommend anyone to take this tour. The driver's behaviour was outright unacceptable. He yelled and shouted at me, literally, in a condescending manner. Here's the whole story for anyone interested: I joined the tour off-season and there were only two people including myself in total. Despite asking participants to arrive a few minutes before departure, the driver arrived only after the said departure time. He offered no apology, although he did explain it's due to traffic and said we should relax. It was a few minutes late and this was not considered a big deal, and with that the tour set off. Everything was fine until the second stop at the palace, when the driver said "we usually spend a couple of hours here" and "it's cold now", and instead of giving the two of us a set time he asked us to find him at a car park after we finished sightseeing. The other person and I parted ways as we visited the palace. I looked on the itinerary on Viator and it mentioned "2 hours", I took that as reference and when it's near 2 hours I planned to head back. Unfortunately there was a bit of walking from the palace to the car park, I got lost and took some time to get to the car park. No one called the whole time. I finally found the car park and after I got on the car, the driver shouted at me, very unpleasantly. While I was shocked at his manner, I immediately offered an apology and explained that I got lost and took the wrong way. He did not listen, and continued shouting and started belittling as he drove to the third stop. He totally ignored the fact that I got lost, and said it's thirty-minute late in a ridiculously impolite manner. I was utterly shocked by his offensive behaviour and his condescending manner, and I did not pay attention to the actual timing. I was not able to verify his claim, although he cut the third stop by 30 minutes. After leaving the car at the third stop, the other person's first words were expressions of her disapproval of the driver's behaviour and language, while highlighting his anger issue. It was fortunate that it turned out both of us found 30 minutes enough for the third stop. I offered to make it up to her for my delay at the second stop when we explored the third stop. It was nice to have a friendly conversation after such a horrendous experience. I would say this tour was a nightmare, and it was an irony that the driver shouted "responsibility" and "respect", when he himself did not apologise and blamed traffic when he was late at pick up, as well as for his disrespectful actions and languages.

Everything all good

ShukPing_L, Oct 2023
Everything all good, departed on time and have sufficient time at each place. Driver / guide is very nice and drove very well, which allowed me slept very comfortably on the car during the long journey. He also shared lots of information about the palaces too. :)

Great day and very friendly driver/guide!!!!!

Nice trip. Adam is a good driver. He drove well and explained things detail. We made some stops for toilet n snack/lunch time. And arrived about 5pm at final stop. One bottle drink provided. Info : First destination, hills of crosses took 3 hr from Vilnius, the 2 next dest. Less than 1 hr each. I sat in front so better view.
