Please arrive 60 minutes before your charter is scheduled to depart and check in at the Expedition Centre to pick up needed equipment, then head to unload your gear at the boat dock in Sewell’s Marina.

What To Expect

Arrive at the Expedition Center on Horseshoe Bay 30 minutes prior to your boat's departure. Unload all your gear and get set up before boarding the boat; gear rental is also available. This tour is suitable for all levels of certified divers, or you can choose the 'ride-along only' option if you'd simply like to explore the scenery of Howe Sound from the boat's deck. If you're a solo traveler, don't worry about finding a buddy: We can provide a qualified Divemaster on request.

Board the Topsail, a 40-foot (12-meter) vessel made for diving and equipped with a large dive platform, an on-board compressor, a viewing deck, a heated cabin, and a marine toilet.

Once you reach Howe Sound, get to exploring the underwater world, including Vancouver's first artificial reef, the HMCS Annapolis. You'll also encounter seals, Pacific octopus, wolf eels, nudibranches, and other sea life.

Back on the boat, warm up with hot soup or tea before heading back to Horseshoe Bay.

EVIDENCE OF SCUBA CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FROM ALL GUESTS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN DIVING
Flying and traveling to high elevations within 24 hours AFTER diving is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (i.e. asthma, heart conditions, etc.) may prevent you from diving. Please consult your doctor and follow certifying agency regulations

Great intro to coldwater diving, beautiful dives

Kevin and Brian are fantastic, super friendly place, especially if you’re not used to Coldwater diving they went above and beyond to make sure it was comfortable. The diet is fantastic, lots of giant enemies, starfish, octopus, and about 1 million cucumbers, tons of cucumbers, shrimp, and crabs, the five hour trip had two good dives – – very different ones too. We did one rock bed with a great view of octopus and giant an, the five hour trip had two good dives – – very different ones too. We did one rock bed with a great view of octopus and giant anemones. and the second dive was a wall dive that looked like the mountains were just sinking into the bay, Light current and tons of rockfish and stars and other little critters on the underwater wall. I can’t say enough, how nice the boat was, the staff friendly, and generally expert knowledge of the area that really made visiting great. Strong recommend.

The team is taking very good care of everyone, they make sure everyone is having a great time. There is so much to see underwater, also were able to spot some seals so it was an awesome experience. I’d do it again and will be back again.
