This was a very informative trip with Alecia. We visited two wineries and went derp into the caves to learn about wine from the region.

This vouvray wine tour was just absolutely perfect! Lorenzo was an amazing tour guide, loved how we went to three different wineries/ makers. Tried so many different types of sparkling and still white wines and even some reds. I did have a blast and learned so much about wines and how they are produced and shipped right under the same roof! I would highly recommend this tour. Some things I would recommend is the pick up spot, maybe have a sign or logo where we know who we are going with. Besides that the tour was just perfect.

Though there were many positive things I could say about this tour, the knowledge of our guide was the standout! No question stumped her and we had delicious pairings of cheese and charcuterie for each of the wines we tried. The vineyard was fascinating with our tasting taking place in the limestone caves. Going to the cooperative and learning about this way of producing, storing, etc was very interesting and a good wrap up for the day. I suggest you dress in layers to be comfortable and make sure you have sensible shoes.
This is a can’t-miss experience and next time I will be booking a full-day!

We really enjoyed our wine tasing experience! Our tour guide, Pierre, was very knowledgeable in all aspects of wine and the beautiful Loire Valley. We got to explore limestone wine caves, taste a total of 10 wines between the two wineries, and sample local cheeses, including several goat cheeses, and unique delicacies like rillettes. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Another wonderful tour! We had a very small group and our tour guide took us to a very small vineyard(fantastic) and a larger one. Loved the caves and the variety of wines we got to try! Also enjoyed the cheese our guide brought. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

We had a great private tour with Alicia. We visited a vineyard and wine cave where we got to taste 8 varieties of Chenin Blanc with cheese pairings. Then we went to a second co-op wine cave where we tasted other local varieties with charcuterie pairings. Overall a great way to spend a half day if you’re in the area and want to learn more about wine.

This was an absolutely fabulous tour with a knowledgeable guide who taught us so much about wine-making in the Loire Valley. We first went to a vineyard and learned about the soil and grape cultivation. Then went to a small wine cellar (Vouvray) where we got to walk around the caves and learn from the guide about wine processing but also got to taste wines prepared differently with the same grape but processed differently. Amazing to taste the differences! This was an eye opener for the neophyte! The range of cheeses set out to accompany the wine tastings formed a nice pairing and were delicious, too! Back in the van, we headed to the next stop, a larger operation but with similar delicious tastings! We so enjoyed the guide's presentation and the opportunity to learn about wine production in the Loire Valley.

We can see why this tour was so highly rated already on Viator. It certainly met all of our expectations. Pierre guided us with an extensive knowledge and relaxed approach to the tour. Her was happy to answer any questions raised and there were no communication problem whatsoever. Plenty of wines to sample and the nibbles were a bonus too. I would no hesitate to recommend this tour and I hope you are fortunate enough to get Pierre as a guide too.

Wow, what a fun experience! Our tour host was fun, knowledgeable and interesting. We got to enjoy a family run winery in a unique setting in Vouvray and a modern winery with a lot of equipment in Mont St Louis!

Simon was a very knowledgeable guide. Two good wineries - first part of the visit at Vouvray cave where we were wandering in the dark with just a phone light was maybe a little odd, but it improved quickly from there. Very generous selection of wines.

After a miscommunication about the tour start time, Vincent personally went out of his way to accommodate us and gave us a personal private tour. The tour itself was excellent and we learned a lot about the entire process of wine making, from growing of the grapes to the different methods of fermentation to the bottling. Each wine we tried was delightful, and Vincent clearly explained the process behind it. He was happy to accommodate our tastes and preferences and kindly answered any questions we had. It was really a special experience and I’m so happy we decided to do it.
