Our rockhound guide, Sean, was very knowledgeable about minerals and gemstones and where to find them in Bisbee. He took us to the best places to look, and we picked up several pounds. He was very friendly and patient. It was a fun experience.

Excellent activity! Extremely knowledgeable guide,,,knows the area, knows the rocks…excellent with kids. Highly recommend. Daytime and nightime rock hounding were great. Found and got to kep many specimens of copper crystal bearing rocks, many malachite specimens , even found some meteorite fragments . Well worth the time and money. Night-time luminescent rock hounding is a MUST do!!

Was a very fun and informative tour. Our guide was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable about the history of the town and his rocks and minerals as well. Make sure to wear good hiking/walking shoes and be prepared to drive a little as well unless you have a small enough group. Found some pretty cool raw minerals and stones and some unique purple glass. Would suggest this to anyone who wants a fun and unique experience out here in bisbee. Super family friendly and we will be doing this tour again for sure when we come back!

Sean is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide into the Bisbee area minerals and fascinating mining history. The experience took us to mining tailing piles where we found malachite and botryoidal sulphur, droozy quartz and agate. The findings were rare in our group. Most memorable was the scenery of the mountains on the American and Mexican sides. Weather was perfect. Great afternoon for just getting outside and appreciating nature

I had a fabulous time on the rock hounding tour! I found some really interesting pieces shown in the pictures. It was a mix of pyrite, malachite, and calcite. Sean is extremely knowledgeable in geology and gives great information and guides you where to find good specimens.
Whether you are a rockhound or know nothing about rocks, I highly recommend this tour for any age!
