We took the Discover Armenia: Tbilisi–Haghpat–Dilijan–Sevan–Yerevan–Tbilisi tour and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. As two young female travelers, we were initially a bit nervous about crossing the border, but Morris made the entire process incredibly smooth, simple, and stress-free, which immediately put us at ease.
Morris was an amazing guide — so kind, thoughtful, and genuinely caring throughout the whole journey. He really went out of his way to look after me and my friend, always checking that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The car was clean and comfortable, and he made sure we had plenty of toilet breaks, time to eat, and opportunities to rest during the longer driving days.
The tour itself was very well planned and organised, allowing us to see so many incredible places along the way, including beautiful monasteries, stunning landscapes, and lively cities. We learned a lot about the history and culture of Armenia, and every stop felt worthwhile and interesting.
Although it is a long drive, it is 100% worth it. The scenery is beautiful, the sights are unforgettable, and having Morris as our guide truly made all the difference. He made the journey enjoyable, relaxed, and memorable, and we felt safe and well looked after the entire time. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it — it was an amazing experience and a highlight of our trip.

Great way to see Armenia of you are short on time. Be prepared for a long day but the driver and tour guide Sofia made sure we are comfortable and are able to enjoy the trip.

Very well organized. Very professional and knowledgeable guide. We felt like we had a very good introduction to Armenia.

I won't repeat what others have already said about the tour, but I'll add my own perspective as an English speaker with visa free access to Armenia.
The tour left at 7am as scheduled, and we experienced short delays at the Georgian border. After that, at the Armenian border, some Uzbek passengers had issues with their documents, causing us a further 90 minute delay. By comparison, I walked through in 5 minutes. The tour operator needs to be more careful about passengers with problematic documents to prevent this happening.
The 90 minute delay put pressure on an already full schedule. Lunch was a 30 minute stop at a highway supermarket/food court and not the lakeside restaurant in Sevan stated in the itinerary.
Some passengers were consistently late for every agreed meeting time, taking more precious minutes from the day.
The bus was cramped and didn't have enough legroom for the journey length. It was also completely full. 2 passengers even had to sit up front with the driver. There wasn't any air-conditioning either.
The tour was offered in English and Russian. Out of 20 people, 14 were Russian speakers. English was very much an afterthought for the guide, particularly by the middle of the tour. It felt as through she'd lost interest in repeating herself in English after that point.
Some of the Russian speakers often talked loudly amongst themselves whenever the guide was speaking in English. That's rude to passengers trying to listen, as well as disrespectful to the guide.
Despite the massively rushed day, we didn't get back to the drop off point until almost midnight.
I appreciate some of these points aren't the fault of the tour, but it's important that people considering the tour know what could potentially happen.
I didn't think Armenia was worth visiting in such a rushed way, but if you do want to go, take a private tour if you have the budget.

Long day trip start from 7.00 end at 23.30. You can discover Armenia in 1 day. Cons is this tour quite small seat space and no air-con in car. Quite hot in summer time. Guide tour is nice and very informative and speak both English and russia. However, this tour not manage well for the groups of person that not punctual and cannot control their behaviors and noise in car / very loud music open which annoying other ln car even inform many times

Great opportunity to go to Armenia/Yerevan from Tbilisi in one day. Be prepared for a very long day and possible delays at the border. For reasons out of the companies control, we got back to Tbilisi at 1am. Guide Paata is knowledgeable and nice. On the drive home we all played songs from our countries for others to listen to. One hour in Yerevan is very short, it would be great if some of the other locations could be shortened a little bit more to give more free time in Yerevan. If you want a taste of Armenia this is good, but if you want a more well rounded experience travel by yourself over a few days.
Son_V, May 2026
Very full and enjoyable tour with Paata to Armenia. I enjoyed seeing the different places including monetary and downtown Erevan. It was well organized and efficient day trip from Tbilisi.
Ieva_B, May 2026
It was a long but totally worrh ir experience, if you haven’t been to Armenia, than this one day trip is everything you need to see and feel the amazing nature, some old places and Erevan in total, our guide Paata was very friendly and with humor made that day very special. We had an amazing group and I made some new friends there ✌️
Nina_S, May 2026
This trip was meant to an English language one but they mixed Russian in with us too which didn't work. The mini bus was packed. Every single seat used and the seats had less leg space then any similar buses I'd been on before in Georgia and Azerbaijan. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly but rather confusing with her instructions when and where to meet back together which meant people got lost at times. The very short times at the stops and the constant lateness of the Russians made this a trip that just didn't work.
But the worst thing about this trip is that the windows are so heavily tinted it looks like permanent twilight through them so we didn't get to see the beauty of the Armenian scenery while driving through. This absolutely ruined the trip for me. I wouldn't recommend this trip at all I'm sorry to say.

A perfect tour for those who dont have much time but want to visit Armenia. The itinerary is tight and rich, and the guide is professional and helpful.

Paata was an amazing guide! Such a perfect day all thanks to him! Took us around 6 different places and gave great insight on them. Saw so much in just one day!
Paul_I, Apr 2026
A really well planned day out, its a long day 7 am to midnight but its handled at a good pace and you get a great balance and prespective of Aremenia both mountains and Yerevan Khtuna was an excellent guide who put a lot of effort in to making the day interesting and was very helpful through out. I would really recommend this day out to break up any stay in Georgia.
craigprescott, Apr 2026
This was a great way to see highlights of Armenia from Tbilisi. Very long day but the transport was comfortable. WiFi available. Our guide Paata was knowledgable. Some free time in Yerevan. Worth planning this free time to maximise it. There are lunch and dinner stops included on the way.
Sam_P, Apr 2026
Was a long day, but worth it for such a great trip. There was a few stops seeing a variety of sights such as historic churches, stunning mountain and lake views and a great few stops at the main attractions in Yeravan. Paata, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable and the driver was enthusiastic on the dark mountain roads.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Armenia tour is one of the best. Discover it with our guides and have the best day.
Aleksandra_G, Apr 2026
The tour was fine, Paata was a knowledgeable guide at each stop, but would be greater if we spoke more about the history of the country and genocide (barely mentioned). Our car broke down so we lost few hours of time fixing it, and came back late - the guide was helpful with getting a taxi after. The stops were sometimes a bit too long, and while a few couples from our bus were consistently late the guide did nothing about it, so we lost a lot of unnecessary time. In Yerevan the free time is one hour - too long to do nothing but waaaaaay too short to do absolutely anything. This should be improved. The best thing about the tour is that you can do it as a day trip

Thank you very much for traveling with us. We apologize for the slight delay. But we tried to keep the tour on schedule. We are ready to give you everything. Have a great day. Once again, we apologize for the situation.

A well designed tour to give more than a glimpse of Yerevan and Armenia. Paata our guide made the trip! Knowledgeable, approachable and well humoured all day, he guided us at a perfect pace and his enthusiasm was infectious. He has a decent playlist for the ride home too. I’d highly recommend this trip!

A great way to experience Armenia if you have short time to spare. The trip covers most of the tourist spots and we loved it. The weather is cold especially in the morning. There are plenty of food options in the food court and prices are reasonable. Our guide ( I don’t get his name) is very funny, always cracking jokes, and is very well informed as he shares information throughout our journey.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
The tour of Armenia is a bit tiring but very interesting. Our guides do everything to make you satisfied.
Pipsa_M, Mar 2026
It is a very long day but well worth it, you'll see many places in Armenia. I was lucky to have a knowledgeable and funny driver, unfortunately I can't recall his name (possibly starts with B, on Fri 20th March). It felt like we had a mini-Eurovision on the way back, each of us played a song from our country. The only downside was the weather, it was cold, snowing and raining heavily!
I would've preferred to have a free choice of restaurant for lunch as we were taken to an establishment that seemed to be a lot more expensive than others nearby.
All in all, it was a great experience!
Response from Host, Mar 2026

Paata is a great guide. Funny, prompt. You get alot of bang for your buck out of this trip. His driver, Giorgi, is a fast but safe driver. HIGHLY recommend.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Welcome; Armenia is a long and interesting tour with its UNESCO monuments and the mother city of Yerevan. But with our guides and especially with Paata you will not really feel the long way. I am glad that you liked our tour.
Ariana_M, Nov 2025
We enjoyed this trip. Yes, it is long, 18 hrs, but that’s the cost of being able to see multiple areas of a country in 1 day.
Great communication from the tour company. I felt trust in them from the start. We liked our guide Paata.
Some things we didn’t love: perhaps better communication once on the bus. Two people didn’t prepare for a visa and this held us up at the border for a bit. Time is precious on this tour. We lost some additional time because of a few other hiccups and I think this prompted the driver to drive like a maniac, especially on the way home. Someone on the bus actually became car sick. The driving was chaotic and felt like a bad roller coaster; constantly accelerating into curves to then braking hard.
Everyone is looking for something a little different on this tour; some into the churches, or the lake or the city. We wished we could’ve spent less time at the churches, lake and lunch spot and more time in Yerevan as an hr of free time went by very quickly.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Hello, the tour of Armenia is really long but very interesting. Of course, there may be some problems at the border, which our guides will help with. 17 hours of travel It's really difficult, but there are so many interesting places to see that this journey becomes easier. Our guides will help you so that it doesn't feel like a long journey. We have very professional drivers. Georgia and the Caucasus in general are mountainous regions, and this also affects the Armenia tour, as we pass through several passes.

This is the perfect tour for those wanting a good experience of Armenia without making a week of it
Got to see Lake Sevan which was the highlight, beautiful scenery and a nice restaurant also
Had a couple of stops in Yerevan, it is not the most interesting of cities which is why a day trip is best, to see the main points of interest
The guide Paata was very informative and helpful with whatever we needed
Was very good and I recommend the tour, it’s a lot of driving but definitely worth it to get to see another country

A great experience to see Armenia in one day. Thanks to Ushba travels for creating such a nice itinerary for visiting a country for tourist with a limited time. The guide Paata is friendly and fun. He has deep knowledge about Georgia and Armenia. How can I forget the driver Mr. Glorgi. He is very helpful guy. I am vegetarian and I asked Mr. Glorgi to suggest some vegetarian dish. To my surprise he purchased Khachpuri for me and did not accept money for that. Further he also offered coffee but I denied. I never met such a big hearted driver in my whole in my past journeys of 101 countries. Three cheers for Paata and Glorgi.
