This was a great way to see highlights of Armenia from Tbilisi. Very long day but the transport was comfortable. WiFi available. Our guide Paata was knowledgable. Some free time in Yerevan. Worth planning this free time to maximise it. There are lunch and dinner stops included on the way.

A well designed tour to give more than a glimpse of Yerevan and Armenia. Paata our guide made the trip! Knowledgeable, approachable and well humoured all day, he guided us at a perfect pace and his enthusiasm was infectious. He has a decent playlist for the ride home too. I’d highly recommend this trip!

We took the Discover Armenia: Tbilisi–Haghpat–Dilijan–Sevan–Yerevan–Tbilisi tour and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. As two young female travelers, we were initially a bit nervous about crossing the border, but Morris made the entire process incredibly smooth, simple, and stress-free, which immediately put us at ease. Morris was an amazing guide — so kind, thoughtful, and genuinely caring throughout the whole journey. He really went out of his way to look after me and my friend, always checking that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The car was clean and comfortable, and he made sure we had plenty of toilet breaks, time to eat, and opportunities to rest during the longer driving days. The tour itself was very well planned and organised, allowing us to see so many incredible places along the way, including beautiful monasteries, stunning landscapes, and lively cities. We learned a lot about the history and culture of Armenia, and every stop felt worthwhile and interesting. Although it is a long drive, it is 100% worth it. The scenery is beautiful, the sights are unforgettable, and having Morris as our guide truly made all the difference. He made the journey enjoyable, relaxed, and memorable, and we felt safe and well looked after the entire time. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it — it was an amazing experience and a highlight of our trip.

Heavily tinted windows, terrible viewing

Nina_S, May 2026
This trip was meant to an English language one but they mixed Russian in with us too which didn't work. The mini bus was packed. Every single seat used and the seats had less leg space then any similar buses I'd been on before in Georgia and Azerbaijan. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly but rather confusing with her instructions when and where to meet back together which meant people got lost at times. The very short times at the stops and the constant lateness of the Russians made this a trip that just didn't work. But the worst thing about this trip is that the windows are so heavily tinted it looks like permanent twilight through them so we didn't get to see the beauty of the Armenian scenery while driving through. This absolutely ruined the trip for me. I wouldn't recommend this trip at all I'm sorry to say.

Day out to Armenia and Yerevan

Paul_I, Apr 2026
A really well planned day out, its a long day 7 am to midnight but its handled at a good pace and you get a great balance and prespective of Aremenia both mountains and Yerevan Khtuna was an excellent guide who put a lot of effort in to making the day interesting and was very helpful through out. I would really recommend this day out to break up any stay in Georgia.

Armenia - Unexpected hidden gem

Sam_P, Apr 2026
Was a long day, but worth it for such a great trip. There was a few stops seeing a variety of sights such as historic churches, stunning mountain and lake views and a great few stops at the main attractions in Yeravan. Paata, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable and the driver was enthusiastic on the dark mountain roads.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Armenia tour is one of the best. Discover it with our guides and have the best day.

Fine

Aleksandra_G, Apr 2026
The tour was fine, Paata was a knowledgeable guide at each stop, but would be greater if we spoke more about the history of the country and genocide (barely mentioned). Our car broke down so we lost few hours of time fixing it, and came back late - the guide was helpful with getting a taxi after. The stops were sometimes a bit too long, and while a few couples from our bus were consistently late the guide did nothing about it, so we lost a lot of unnecessary time. In Yerevan the free time is one hour - too long to do nothing but waaaaaay too short to do absolutely anything. This should be improved. The best thing about the tour is that you can do it as a day trip

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you very much for traveling with us. We apologize for the slight delay. But we tried to keep the tour on schedule. We are ready to give you everything. Have a great day. Once again, we apologize for the situation.

Josephine_M, Mar 2026
A great way to experience Armenia if you have short time to spare. The trip covers most of the tourist spots and we loved it. The weather is cold especially in the morning. There are plenty of food options in the food court and prices are reasonable. Our guide ( I don’t get his name) is very funny, always cracking jokes, and is very well informed as he shares information throughout our journey.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

The tour of Armenia is a bit tiring but very interesting. Our guides do everything to make you satisfied.

A day in the southern Caucasus

Pipsa_M, Mar 2026
It is a very long day but well worth it, you'll see many places in Armenia. I was lucky to have a knowledgeable and funny driver, unfortunately I can't recall his name (possibly starts with B, on Fri 20th March). It felt like we had a mini-Eurovision on the way back, each of us played a song from our country. The only downside was the weather, it was cold, snowing and raining heavily! I would've preferred to have a free choice of restaurant for lunch as we were taken to an establishment that seemed to be a lot more expensive than others nearby. All in all, it was a great experience!

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you for traveling with us and being satisfied, it is very important for us. We thank you on behalf of the guide. The Armenia tour is very interesting with its historical places and the capital. Visit the historical places of Armenia in one day. We are waiting for you in the future

Great trip to Yerevan

Randall_S, Dec 2025
Paata is a great guide. Funny, prompt. You get alot of bang for your buck out of this trip. His driver, Giorgi, is a fast but safe driver. HIGHLY recommend.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Welcome; Armenia is a long and interesting tour with its UNESCO monuments and the mother city of Yerevan. But with our guides and especially with Paata you will not really feel the long way. I am glad that you liked our tour.

Worthwhile tour to make it to Yerevan

Ariana_M, Nov 2025
We enjoyed this trip. Yes, it is long, 18 hrs, but that’s the cost of being able to see multiple areas of a country in 1 day. Great communication from the tour company. I felt trust in them from the start. We liked our guide Paata. Some things we didn’t love: perhaps better communication once on the bus. Two people didn’t prepare for a visa and this held us up at the border for a bit. Time is precious on this tour. We lost some additional time because of a few other hiccups and I think this prompted the driver to drive like a maniac, especially on the way home. Someone on the bus actually became car sick. The driving was chaotic and felt like a bad roller coaster; constantly accelerating into curves to then braking hard. Everyone is looking for something a little different on this tour; some into the churches, or the lake or the city. We wished we could’ve spent less time at the churches, lake and lunch spot and more time in Yerevan as an hr of free time went by very quickly.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Hello, the tour of Armenia is really long but very interesting. Of course, there may be some problems at the border, which our guides will help with. 17 hours of travel It's really difficult, but there are so many interesting places to see that this journey becomes easier. Our guides will help you so that it doesn't feel like a long journey. We have very professional drivers. Georgia and the Caucasus in general are mountainous regions, and this also affects the Armenia tour, as we pass through several passes.

Definitely worthwhile

Jacob_R, Nov 2025
This is the perfect tour for those wanting a good experience of Armenia without making a week of it Got to see Lake Sevan which was the highlight, beautiful scenery and a nice restaurant also Had a couple of stops in Yerevan, it is not the most interesting of cities which is why a day trip is best, to see the main points of interest The guide Paata was very informative and helpful with whatever we needed Was very good and I recommend the tour, it’s a lot of driving but definitely worth it to get to see another country

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Travel with us to Armenia and see many interesting and historical places. Visit UNESCO monuments and the capital of Armenia. Our guides will provide you with a lot of information.

Experience Extra ordinary guide and driver

Mukesh_K, Nov 2025
A great experience to see Armenia in one day. Thanks to Ushba travels for creating such a nice itinerary for visiting a country for tourist with a limited time. The guide Paata is friendly and fun. He has deep knowledge about Georgia and Armenia. How can I forget the driver Mr. Glorgi. He is very helpful guy. I am vegetarian and I asked Mr. Glorgi to suggest some vegetarian dish. To my surprise he purchased Khachpuri for me and did not accept money for that. Further he also offered coffee but I denied. I never met such a big hearted driver in my whole in my past journeys of 101 countries. Three cheers for Paata and Glorgi.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you very much for traveling with us. Our guests are always the same. We always love them.

Not the best experience

Ton_N, Nov 2025
I chose the tour considering it was a great opportunity to se a bit of Armenia, what I did not know upfront was that the proivder would have such a terrible performance: 1 hour lost crossing into Armenia because a couple did not had a visa. The provider did not check this prior to the tour The tour guide was not able to edtablish group rules, therefore every stop requiered additions 10 to 20 minutes to gather everyone the driver is a safety hszzard - He started the tour being tired a d this tour requires lots of driving... the result? Erratic driving, road rage, multiple near misses. I do not whish tjis experience to anyone

Response from Host, Nov 2025

You had the best driver and also a very experienced driver which I cannot accept a remark. I discussed your dissatisfaction with the guide and they said that you had complaints all day long. And an unhappy face. If we had to wait at the border because of our guests we would not have left them, maybe you would have had a problem with the food and I would not have left you either.... So it would have been better if you had eaten something sweet to be in a good mood and have a pleasant day today, unlike you, the other guests were very grateful and wrote us positive reviews...

Very rushed day trip to Armenia

Ansley_P, Sep 2025
Was a long day but felt like we didn’t see anything really. The driver was 45 mins late as he forgot his passport, the guide was ok but constantly talked about random stuff. No free time at any of the stops literally marched around at a speedy rate. Yerevan was extremely rushed specifically to get to the lake stop. This isn’t a lake stop it’s a trip to a monastery overlooking the lake with stalls of stuff to buy as souvenirs. We were told it would be cheap and don’t buy any souvenirs elsewhere (not that we had any time even if we wanted to). We actually found the stalls expensive and quite frankly poor quality. This stop also advertised a restaurant overlooking the lake where we would have lunch- not the case. For some reason we went there last, way past lunch…. Didn’t visit a restaurant instead were taken to an awful motorway type food stop (passing loads of nice looking restaurants on the way). Food was dreadful, cold and just not nice. We ended up at the end of the trip feeling tired, hungry and like we hadnt really seen anything of Yerevan. Loads of nice scenery on route but we didn’t stop to appreciate any of it. There was a couple of really interesting looking monuments which we literally wizzed past. We weren’t even given the option to do our own thing for an hour in Yerevan and meet at a specific point, instead we were forced to do what the guide wanted to do, spent 20 mins outside the opera house being told what her friend told her it looks like inside. Last stop was perhaps the worst, told its a ski resort, important village, very beautiful. We parked on a roundabout and given 10 mins to look at a boating lake whilst the guide got coffee then all back on the bus. We didn’t see the village….. I would not recommend this trip at all. I’m not even sure why I’ve given it two stars, probably because it was a long day and I appreciate the fact that they took the time to take us.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Hello, we are sorry that you expressed dissatisfaction. But we cannot agree with you on many things. There is no way you would forget your passport at the time. As for souvenirs, there is a souvenir shop on Lake Sevan where you can buy them. We don't have any special stops for souvenirs, this is also indicated in the program. As for the food, it's a fast food restaurant with a lot of very tasty and attractive food products. Also Sevanists' seafood. A lot of time can really be lost in a restaurant due to food preparation and delivery. Of course, there are many interesting historical monuments and beautiful views along the way. But because we have our own program and the excursion lasts 17 hours. Because of this, we may not be able to stop everywhere. As for the boat ride, it's not in our program, and there's no visiting any villages. I don't know where you got that idea. If you took a boat ride, your guide probably gave you extra time. I came to the conclusion that you were not well-informed about the program. I agree that the Yerevan and Armenia tour is very interesting. But unfortunately you won't see much in one day. I recommend taking a few days tour to Armenia and traveling locally.

Great day!

Constantina, Sep 2025
Really good day with loads of information and good scenic sights. Didnt feel rushed and the guide, Bata was great. Very knowledgeable and also really funny! He English is excellent.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you very much for joining us on the excursion. The tour of Armenia is a bit long, but very interesting. There are many UNESCO monuments in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. Visit all of them in one day, which is possible with the help of our best guides.

Whirlwind Day Trip

Timothy_G, Aug 2025
It was a whirlwind day-trip to Armenia. Very well planned itinerary, executed smoothly by our guide Sophie. She was experienced and knowledgable, bubbling with enthusiasm and energy until we finished the tour 18 hours later. Despite traffic and delays at the border, we were pretty much on time. The trip took us 18 hours, but with several stops along the way, it did not feel long or tiring. If you have time, stay in Yerevan for a day or 2 longer.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you very much for traveling with us. Sopie is a great guide. He will tell you many interesting historical stories. Armenia tour is one of the most interesting with its history and culture, its UNESCO monuments and see many interesting things and finally visit the capital of Armenia, Yerevan.
