educational tour ride to the beach. was able to take pictures and video at the hill where the Atlantic and Caribbean ocean meet. lastly dropped us off at the beach.

We had a fabulous time on this excursion with the wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, fun, helpful, patient, friendly, and hospitable guide Mr. Roosevelt!
We had a great tour of the area around Bassaterre and a lovely time at the Carambola Beach Club beach.
Mr. Roosevelt was SO knowledgeable about the history and current events of St. Kitts. He told us how US Sec of State Marco Rubio had been in St. Kitts the day before our stop there for a conference and drove us by the airport to see if we could see Mr. Rubio's plane if it was still there (unfortunately it was not).
We got to see some of the medical schools and a great deal of development by the Chinese in the area.
The Carambola Beach Club was lovely, but be aware that food and drinks are pricey there. You need to pay a $5/person admission fee which I believe is waived if you purchase an umbrella and/or beach chair rentals. The bathrooms were clean, which was appreciated.
We had so much fun and learned so much on this wonderful and memorable trip with Mr. Roosevelt. If you are fortunate enough to have him as a guide, if you are from the USA, please be sure to thank him for his military service, as he is a US Army veteran.

On our booking it said to meet at 8.30. No-one turned up until 8.45. She said it was 9.00 meet up, but not on our booking. We then waited until 9
20 for a no show !!
So just the two of us in a taxi. A very nice driver Kamin ? Was informative, but it would have been nice to stop a couple of times to take photos. He took us to a Friars beach and a small bar where we could have our first rum punch. Delicious
A great beach, sunloungers under palm trees. Pick us up promptly at arranged time. Good trip apart from communication.

In more than 24 years of us conducting this tour, you are the first person to have misread the description. We believe the confusion occurred for you because the name of our commonwealth is St. Kitts and Nevis. The name of the tour that you booked is Capital & Beach of St. Kitts & Nevis. When you read the description of the tour, it clearly states that you receive a tour of the capital of Basseterre in St Kitts, you go to Timothy Hill, the only place in the world where you see the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea kissing each other and you see a panoramic view of our sister island, Nevis. Then, you are off to the beach for sun and fun. People book this tour because they wish to spend more time on the beach instead of learning the historical aspects of our island. In all the years that we have been giving this tour; no one has ever gotten the impression that they would take a ferry ride and then get a tour of Nevis. All for $74 for two persons? We are so sorry for the misunderstanding. However, it was not on our part. You actually received more than the other people who toured with you! You received a tour and history of the Southeast Peninsula! Since you received above and beyond what we promised, we believe the star rating that you gave us was unjustified.
We wish you well and invite you to visit our beautiful island again.

Wonderful experience with Roosevelt our driver. The highlight was the Beach at Frigate Bay and Carambola Club. Some what crowded on the Beach, but good facilites with restaurant , bathrooms and bar. Beautiful views of mountains.

Our guide was very gracious and accommodating. Well-versed on the history of the town and the drive during the tour was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Just be aware that the beach itself does have its own costs associated with it if you decide to stay at the drop off point, but not very expensive.

Good trip! Highlighted tour of island with some nice photo opportunities. Beach was decent but sand was really hot., couldn’t walk barefoot at all. Place to change into swimsuits after the tour. $39 for 2 sun loungers which had seen better days and an umbrella.

Lenny gave us a great tour around the Capital and on to the beach. Enough of an overview to be familiar with this beautiful island. The Frigate Bay Beach that we went to through the Carabila Beach Club was great. 2 chairs, an umbrella, and admission totaled $39. Food and drink service on the beach. Highly recommend this trip.

Our tour guide Megan was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and very punctual! The beach was great. You didn’t have to pay for the chairs and the umbrellas were $10USA Highly recommend!

Mr Stan the Man!!! I LOVED his energy. He explained everything as he drove us through the capital. He had great jokes, he pulled to the side for us to take pictures, it was perfect. The beach he originally wanted to take us to was closed, but his back up worked out perfectly as well!! Highly recommend!!

The driver, SQ, was informative, patient, and courteous. Interesting history. Good information about the sites we went by and viewed. The beach was pleasant. The trip included the beach visit, but if you wanted to use chairs or umbrellas, there was a charge. Good way to get around, hear some island info, and not worry about driving.

Get to see the capital of St Kitts with a drive through and descriptions and a few hours at a Caribbean beach. Our driver, Megan, was delightful to spend time with for our half day tour. Her first choice beach was closed but she took us to Frigate Bay. The beach was decent and the umbrella and chairs were only $15 to rent. We enjoyed the ride up to the panoramic viewpoint and from the beach back to town. Will do this again on our February cruise.

Basic town tour. Not much in terms of scenic spots. Then 3 hours on the beach. Beach was very nice though. It was clean and had an outdoor shower which was convenient to wash off sand prior to heading back

Only booked night before. Detailed info where to find driver. Driver was very informative and helpful. Mixture of history and beach. Enjoyed beach. Just find always having to pay high prices for umbrella and chairs annoying.

Stanely was our tour guide and was AMAZING!! He showed us all around the city of St. Kitts & knew so much history. He gave us a choice of beach & restaurant which was nice. He came back exactly when he said he would. He was friendly and humble. He made sure 2 women traveling together felt safe. He definitely took care of us & made sure we had a great time!! Would def book this tour again. Ask for Stanley, he is the BEST!! 😍🥰

Friendly driver, the excursion mentioned that Roosevelt was going to be our driver, but that was not the case. Not much of a tour in the actual city, right near the port, seemed to go round and round in town. Nice drive through the countryside. Dropped off at a beach for a few hours, didn’t realize the chairs and umbrella was not part of the price. That was another $30. Could have just gotten a taxi from the port for less than the $74 dollars we paid. Which now cost us $104! Bothered by a man with a monkey taking pictures of us on the beach demanding $20!! ( I gave him $5, just so he’d leave us alone) Our driver said it’s “monkey business” she did stop at a scenic over view where she did take our pictures. Less expensive than most excursions offered on the ship, but still more than we were prepared to spend.

Ventura cruise ship failed to dock Therefore we did not use the tour.Have been unable to contact Viator for a refund as this was No fault of ours

If you’re looking for a brief drive through Basseterre en route to the beach with some fun facts along the way, this tour is for you. Nothing more, nothing less.
The capital tour was fine enough, our driver was kind and knowledgeable, but hard to hear her with no microphone (and we were sitting right behind her). We toured on Christmas Eve (Sunday) so most places were closed which was nice for traffic and to see the city in a less congested state.
The beach club decent, the view was incredible and the water was crystal clear. Pro tip: Buy your drinks from the snack car you stop at on the way, not from the beach club. We did this and saved a ton of $. Beware; the sand on this beach is VERY hot, most people needed to wear shoes. We paid $30 for two chairs and an umbrella, which we knew about in advance not because the tour operator told us, but because we took the time to read other reviews in advance.
Be sure to check your email for a confirmation from the tour operator; the time printed on the Viator ticket was incorrect. We didn’t know this until we got to the port for our (what we thought was) 9a tour only to find out it didn’t start until 10a, so we waited around for an hour. You would think Viator and the tour operator would show the same details.
Overall, we found the experience to be ‘good enough’ hence the 3 stars. We would probably try something else if we come back to St. Kitts.
