Overview
Take a sailing trip out into Howe Sound with this small-group sailing experience. Your captain will meet you and your fellow passengers in Squamish, about a 40-minute drive north of Vancouver. You'll then set sail on a 40-foot sailboat, with the opportunity to try your hand at sailing. You may also spot whales, dolphins, or other wildlife.

This was one of the most amazing experiences my family has ever had!!! David and Michelle were the best guides. We saw some of the most amazing views, great wildlife and learned so much about the area. I cannot recommend this sail enough.

I highly recommend this sailing afternoon with Captain David! What a fun experience we enjoyed on his sailing vessel on the Howe Sound. We are not experienced sailors and had the time of our lives, honestly. The winds were fantastic. In addition, we saw a bald eagle. The views on the sound are breathtaking. Bring your camera! We were staying in Whistler and drove down to Squamish for the afternoon. LOVED it! We plan to return next summer to Whistler and will most definitely sail again with Capt David!
It was a really lovely experience, definitely one of the highlights of our Vancouver trip. The scenery around Howe Sound was breathtaking, the company (both the crew and passengers) fun and friendly. We enjoyed everything about the trip, especially helping out with steering the boat and working the sails. Hope we can do it again!
Amazing! The captain and staff were so friendly and kind and let anyone who wanted to participate in the experience which made it even more fun! The scenery is beautiful, but the experience with the people on board was just as much fun! I couldn’t recommend it enough!
A wonderful sailing experience, with the chance to learn more about sailing and to take part in the "doing" to make it more memorable. David, Kirstie and Mia really enjoy the time out on the water and make the experience fun and enjoyable. We were a mixed group of 6, 4 friends and two solo travellers and it didn't feel rushed or cramped on board. We were able to watch and follow parts of the regatta that was happening while out sailing and the grey skies and drizzle didn't bother me at all.
This was, without a doubt, the highlight of a week-long road trip. The experience felt like stepping onto a beautiful sailboat with familiar family friends. Being able to help maneuver the boat and having such a hands-on experience really added a lot to the experience. The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and pointed out numerous places of interest. Opportunities for swimming, wildlife spotting, relaxing in the sun, and great conversation really stepped up the overall experience. If you are on the fence about booking, JUST DO IT!
David and Becky make you feel like old friends hanging out for a day of sailing. Engaging conversation, sharing local knowledge and a good sense of humor!

An exceptional experience! Sailing on Howe Sound makes the meaning of 'Sea to Sky' come alive on a whole new level. An absolutely thrilling adventure with stellar views. David and Michelle were fantastic hosts, it was a truly enjoyable afternoon.
Would highly recommend this excursion. I travel alone with my young son and our guides made this the highlight of his trip (also making it the highlight of mine). The views are stunning, even if no wildlife are spotted and the boat is clean and comfortable. Worth every penny.

This is the best Viator tour we have ever done. So glad we chose this outing. David and Rebecca are perfect hosts- hospitable, funny, witty and welcoming. The scenery is incredible the boat is stunning and we enjoyed “learning the ropes” a little bit. This is level 1 fun for sure and would highly recommend this experience if you love the worlds best landscapes and the freedom of the wind in your sails and hair!

We had an amazing time sailing with Captain David and his mate, Michelle. They were exceptional hosts! The boat was in incredible shape and very comfortable. David and Michelle provided the perfect balance of exciting high-wind sailing while ensuring we all felt very safe as well, allowing us to have a super fun time! We were able to go for a quick swim in the sound too. We had a great time conversing with the crew about local scenes and spots. Highly recommend this charter to anyone.
The skipper (Dave, I think) and his first mate (Sydney) were so wonderful! They made the trip easy and comfortable, involving our whole family without putting anyone on the spot or making us uncomfortable They were a great blend casual and professional. We got to participate in operating the boat and enjoyed the swim-stop and sodas. It was a great afternoon! Everyone should make sure they go on this adventure!!
What a wonderful and memorable experience! David and his crews were so knowledgeable, and very fun to interact with. The view was gorgeous, and definitely a 10/10. Best moment was probably lying in the bow and watch the white sail tug above, it was so surreal yet so amazing
Absolutely wonderful. Dave, Sidney & Veronica made our experience so much fun. They were knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and fun. Dave was great with our 11 year old; bringing him in to our conversations and making him feel included while surrounded by only adult company. Beautiful views and a great adventure.

We had children in our group, and the crew was great with them. Dave shared his pirate story, gave them blankets, and even hooked up the teddy bear with his own life jacket! The kids loved it!

This is an epic way to experience Squamish by water. The staff are wonderful, informative, and are happy to have you participate. A must do in this area!
This sailing trip was such a memorable experience from start to finish. The scenery is incredibly beautiful and the sailboat is very nice. Mike, Michael and David are very experienced sailors and are very fun to be with as tour guides. We got to interact with them during the entire trip and had some great conversations about sailing and traveling. I felt like I was at home with friends! I even got to steer the sailboat for about 20 minutes! That was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! This is one tour you don’t want to miss!
