My husband and I had a great time driving around Sofia in Danny's trabant. Danny does a great job telling you about Bulgaria's communist past and you get to make a few stops at some of the historically important sites, but the trabant is the star of the show. When Danny came to pick us up at our hotel there was a Ferrari parked in the drive and the trabant was parked in front of it- everyone was walking right past the Ferrari to take pictures of the trabant! Take a drive around Sofia and see for yourself how fun it is!

The tour, the car and our host Danny were awesome! We had so much fun driving around in the Trabi and it certainly attracted a lot of attention 😀 Danny was a great laugh, giving us a good insight into Bulgarian history and sharing his family experiences too.

Spectacular. Stop thinking, and book it. Great way to see Sofia and the socialist period is something that really makes Sofia unique. Great city with great history and you need the Trabant to tether it all together.

Such a fun tour! Danny was a great guide, and the Trabant is amazing. Really good way to see the big communist history sites in the city - especially if you're short on time. The museum with sculpture garden was worth a visit, and was really interesting to hear the history from Danny, as well as the first hand experiences after the fall of the wall.

On my short visit to Sofia, I cannot imagine choosing a better tour than this one. The wonderful tour guide was full of all kinds of fascinating stories about local history, but also told me about his own family's experience, and that was really meaningful to hear about. The car is amazing, and that seatbelt is a doozy! It was an extremely worthwhile, interesting, and engaging historical experience, and I highly recommend it!

Very good tour. We were picked up from our hotel and driven around Sofia, stopping at various locations. Our guide was interesting and knowledgeable and told us about the history of Sofia from the perspective of the communist era. The tour lasted just over 2 hours and it was great being driven around in a classic car.

Excellent experience! Dany tour guide drives very well this UNIQUE car of the gold epoque of Communism in Bulgaria! I recall when I was a child I saw many potos of the TRABI or TRAVI in magazines and now I wanted to see it and live it! but the most extraordinary is to have a driver telling you things of the Sofia life in the Communist time! It is nice to hear the history of the production and manufacturing of the TRABANT in the former German Democratic Republic when Erik Honecker was the President and what happened when the Bulgarians wanted to import the TRABANT car.
