We traveled from the port to the lake, museum, shrine and a local food stop. Had a wonderful day. It was rainy and cloudy, Mother Nature.

Clear details about itinerary, expectations, and meet up and drop off locations.
Each of the destinations from the lake to waterfalls to museum were as described. It was sad that Mt Fuji remained hidden behind clouds and heavy rain but one cannot control Mother Nature. Our driver/guide was very polite and helpful. I liked the small group just 6 of us. It made visiting the spots easier. Lunch was tasty and local. We highly recommend the tour.

We really enjoyed this day out - I was worried about the timing, as our cruise ship arrived at 1pm, and we had to be back by 6pm, but everything run smoothly and the itinerary was specifically tweaked to allow for shorter time but still seeing as much as we could. For me the highlight was the waterfalls, incredible experience being so close to them - it was rainy and cloudy to start with but we were lucky and on the way back the weather improved and we got lovely views of Mt Fuji as well. we were family of 3 and we were grouped with two other couples and it was a small enough group to make the trip flow well. Miu was our guide and well done for great driving and getting us back on ship right on time while sharing interesting information about the area all the way.

The weather wasn’t the best, didn’t have a clear view of Mt. Fuji, but we saw other highlights of the area. It’s a worthwhile excursion.

A good tour but be aware it is a mini bus for 7 to 9 people. The itinerary was good except there was not enough time to do the food segment. Instead we ate at the Shimizu fish market, which is mostly closed on Wednesdays.

Our guide was Dice K (I'm sure this is not the correct spelling). His English is excellent. He's very informative and responds to all our request.

We had the worst weather day possible which was disappointing, and John, our guide made it work out anyway…
The tour is primarily centered around Mt Fuji, and the history of the town of Shimizu. John met us at the pier as we got off our cruise ship. He was right on time. The car/van was a nice Toyota mini-van type vehicle, a model that I had never heard of. It was clean and quite comfortable. John was a good, attentive safe driver. His English was good, and he was quite pleasant.
The weather, for the 7 hour tour was dark, foggy, rainy and miserable… and it stayed that way all day.
When we purchased the tour package, that was somewhat pricey, We never really considered a total weather washout… we never got a glimpse of Mt Fuji. The other venues, like a reflecting lake or some lovely waterfalls all set in front of the majestic backdrop of Mt Fuji… well, we’re disappointing in heavy rain and dense fog, with no Mt Fuji to be seen…
The day was saved however by John’s willingness to pivot, and adjust our itinerary in the moment. He took us to a very impressive building, The Mt Fuji Hertage Center, which was very impressive and informative. We got some “Street food” lunch, which was delicious. At lunch, I told John about a very specific toy my granddaughter had asked me to watch out for while in Japan. John got on his phone and within a few minutes had found a store which had these items. He brought us to the store, and served as our translator with the store clerks, and within minutes, we had what we were looking for…
At the end of the day, we had a very enjoyable and educational experience!

We knew it was not guaranteed to see Fuji or Cherry Blossoms…. But sunny knew the back roads and found wonderful blossoms and later a view of the top of Fuji…. This was the best ending of two weeks in Japan… SUNNY IS A FUN MAN WITH WORLD WIDE EXPERIENCE! We were group of 8 he picked up at the port! You’ll have a great experience with him for sure!!

It’s a lot of sights to see, but very well timed. Thankfully nature cooperated and we got to see Mt Fuji, certainly not a given. Our guide, Sunny, was awesome. We had a mix-up on the meet time and he waited for us after contacting us to let us know he was waiting. Very accommodating!

Great tour but no views of Mt Fuji due to weather. Only issue was we didn't get back to the ship until 15 minutes before final boarding. A little tight but made it.

This is built as a shore excursion and around locations to see Mount Fuji and other places in the area. We had an unusual wonderful day, and saw Mount Fuji at every stop. But we were told by the locals that that was a very unusual day. So be prepared in case it's not a great day and enjoy the stops. Whether you see Mount Fuji or not. The vendor communicated well, worked it well with the time the ship arrived and left. And it was an opportunity in a short period of time to see several unique places in the area. The Mount Fuji heritage center is worth seeing no matter what. The waterfalls were beautiful and will always be beautiful no matter the weather. So even on a cloudy day, there are good things to see. Just don't always count on. Seeing Mount Fuji is what we were told. We were just very lucky.

We had a great time there. The whole tour ran smooth. We had been brought to a small lake and from there, we can see the Mt Fuji as well as its reflection from the lake. The view is gorgeous.

This tour was incredible and we were so lucky with the weather! Our guide Chi was great and very knowledgeable. The way this tour works is that you are in groups of 8 per mini van and your guide is also your driver.
We visited everywhere except the market as our cruise ship timings changed. The company contacted us before to explain and filled us with confidence as they knew the times we needed to be back etc and we ended up having 45 mins spare before the ship departed!
This was very much a nature and culture tour so if this is something you enjoy do join! The Mt Fuji Heritage Centre was amazing and a great visit. We had amazing weather and caught the sunset by the lake which was just stunning!

Our group was elated to have selected this excursion with Sunny Tours through Viator. The itinerary was perfect as a shore excursion for our cruise ship that docked at 1300.
We found out that our ships schedule was changed to leave port about 90 minutes early.
Our guide John was great at explaining our itinerary and returning us early for the new departure time. We still enjoyed every stop on the original itinerary. My favorite was the world heritage center and later at Lake Tanuki. The weather was perfect and we were treated to a clear view of Mt Fuji throughout the day. Our guide took expert photos of group that will last a lifetime.

We were really pleased with this tour. Onaki made sure we had the best opportunities to view Mt Fuji from different locations, and we were lucky enough to have a clear day. Shiraito Falls is just amazing, and we wouldn't have found the walk which shows Mt Fuji in the background with Onaki's input. We were also lucky to view a procession in the town, which doesn't happen very often. Views from the Mt Fuji World Heritage Centre observation deck were spectacular. This was a really well organised and informative trip. Thanks Onaki.

We had Chi as our guide. We think she is a wonderful young woman and a perfect guide for us. This was probably the most enjoyable tour of our 17 days of travel. Lunch was perfect. An option was chicken tenders for those who dare not try something new. Even Vickie who does not like anything new ordered what Chi was having and the lunch was very good. We saw Fuji in the morning before the clouds covered it. We went to a nice lake and the top peeked in and out before it disappeared. The Sake store was nice and we bought some local Fuji sake to share with friends. Again the tour was perfect for us.

Our cruise has an early arrival time and a too early departure from the port. This excursion started as soon as all of us got out the ship by 8! Excellent itinerary for a short yet memorable trip! Got the most beautiful photos here. The guides are proficient and helpful! Highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic tour! It was a small group and our favorite was shiraito falls. We couldn’t see mt fuji so we skipped the lake but he took us to a tea farm which made our trip worth it!

We loved this tour! Especially Mt. Fuji was visible in all its glory for about 3 hours before the clouds covered it. The drive into the mountains was fun and exciting- the lake, the waterfalls, the temple/shrine, Yakisoba for lunch and the Mt. Fuji heritage center made for a great tour. We were dropped off at the cruise port with time to spare. The young men who guided us were warm and friendly and helpful especially when we left something at the waterfall area in the gift shop. Highly recommend
